My social work profession goals
My social work profession encompasses unique goals, which are lifechanging to the community. The primary goal is to identify the necessary people who need social help in society. I aim to weigh the needs of individuals, situations, strengths, and sustenance network to regulate their goals. The other goal that I established is to aid individuals to improve to change and test their lives, such as health situations, marital status, unemployment, and domestic inconveniences. Also, to help individuals in society to work with the government agencies to apply and achieve benefits such as medical care. I am ambitious to deliver a platform that can help me grow mentally and physically in terms of handling complex situations in society. The profession also provides me with a student loan opportunity that will assist in projects and research purposes. Based on the profession, I am interested in developing an agency for social workers, where my leadership and management skills shall be improved. Also, to establish events that encompass food assistance, which will help the society in reducing the poverty rate.
The primary work that I did was mental health in a mental health clinic. It was a volunteering work that dealt with the psychological problems of the individual in society. The primary key for the work was to aid individuals with a mental disorder due to their social life problems. The necessary implication of mental healthcare is that it encompasses the well-being, where an individual recognizes his or her abilities that enable him or her to contribute positively to society and avoid incidences such as stress. The primary responsibilities that I had in the clinic were to ensure and promote mental health in various approaches. The approaches were such as early childhood intervention, childhood support in the society, empowerment of social-economy, violence prevention programs, poverty reduction and protection for poor people, and anti-discrimination laws and campaigns, and promotion of mental health activities in the community. It enhanced my abilities as I had the duty to care for individuals in society with acute conditions. The other task was to organize group therapy season, which involves social events.
The work experience I had in the social work profession enabled me to establish a movement that helps individuals in society through mental support. The movement is financially unstable but creates a platform for an individual to change mentally and become effective in the community. The movement requires support on equipment purchases for mental events and therapy assessment. Financial aid is also necessary to hire professional mental health nurses who will help in the assessment process on mental health. Also, financial assistance is required for establishing events in the community that helps individual in expressing their feelings and communicate to professionals the conditions they are undergoing. Furthermore, I would need financial support in helping individuals in society to lower the rate of poverty through the provision of food. Also, I should get financial assistance to advocate and aid individuals in the community with the necessary available resources that would improve their well-being.
