Dear Admissions Committee,
I am a high-performing and strategic thinking personnel with three years of experience in operations management. I am currently working at UPS as the operation supervisor, having worked with the organization for the last three years. I am also in my final year of an undergraduate degree at Long Island University, where I pursue Social Works. After my four years of specializing in Social works, I have developed robust analytical skills in business management and a distinct appreciation for microeconomics. My interest in business planning, finance, strategy, and marketing is the impetus for my application for the business management program. In my role as an operation supervisor, I have gained immense written and oral communication skills, comprehension of the various procedures involved in manufacturing, service, and business. The level of employee productivity within my three years term of service at PSU has significantly gone high, and I can boldly attribute this positive performance to the work my colleagues and I put to the success of the organization.
I understand business management to be one of the most determining features of the national identity for economic growth. Dale, Lawrence, and Ralph (2014) note that the challenges facing business management education programs in higher institutions of learning are diverse, ranging from technology to globalization. At the same time, these challenges are also the opportunities that learners can harness to change the future of the global economy. Throughout my studies, I have been guided by self-discipline, consistency, hard work, resilience, and focus extensive research on my course work.
It is the responsibility of the business manager to ensure that all the employees have the requirements to put the business together (Tapera, 2014). I have a passion for business operations and thus seeking to start up a personal business. My professional development goal is to grow into an analytical business manager so that I can translate my knowledge in business into an organization that will sustain employees and realize super performance in the currently highly volatile business environment. I am also looking forward to developing into a result-oriented professional with an MBA from Norwich. Norwich University has the majority of the resources and technology requirements for the course I seek to pursue in the University. I am drawn to the University of Norwich because of the robust background in business management. Besides, the University has great professors with a great passion for developing learners into future leaders and development-oriented professionals.
My ability to balance employment responsibilities with course work requirements in my undergraduate degree in the past three years is proof enough that I am up to the task of meeting the requirements of this new venture I seek to take up. Upon my acceptance to the University, I look forward to advancing my critical thoughts and expand my awareness of the various components of business management, such as financing and strategy development. These specific areas hold the light to my future as a flexible organizational leader and business owner.
