Introduction

Marry Shelley, in her story, use the element of multiple narratives in telling the story of Frankenstein’s monster. This tool is critical in the various understanding of the story that the reader developed on the themes of the novel. The novel, which is set in multiple locations and is told in the many different ways, promotes a full different perceptional understanding. The author, Shelley relies on the various narrative form which she employees in the novel to illustrate the distinct element of her story and to create a different relationship between the readers and the story of the monster. According to one who reads the story, the critical narrative is that Victor Frankenstein’s creature as one of the most famous monsters in literary history. This essay develops an understanding of how the various narrative works in the novel and how hearing the story from the multiple points alter the relationships of the audience with the story and its theme (Martin, 28).

The novel has various narratives that it uses to inform the readers of the story from a different point of view. The first most crucial view of the story is where the readers are introduced to the monster Frankenstein’s perspective. According to this narrative, the monster is portrayed as grotesques and disgusting with water eyes… his shriveled kind of complexation and the straight black lips. In view of this narrative, the readers do understand the reason as to why Victor Frankenstein’s recoils in horror. It develops a pint of view of the role of Frankenstein’s monster in the development of the key theme of supernatural strengths and forces which the author of the story tries to express. This point of view entirely tied to Shelley’s explanation or narrative based on fear and the harm that others are likely to obtain from this perspective (Larry, 31).

The use of the multiple narratives in the novel also elaborates on the various cultural understanding of the story. Hearing the story from this perspective or viewpoint rewards much. Using this element of narrative, the author, the story, is capable of linking the various traditional aspect of the multiple communities in creating a whole point of view over the story. In essence, the narrative tied on the cultural elements of the story does make it possible for the readers of the story to elicit a whole different theme over this story, which is cultural. Through the use of a different narrative based on the cultural aspect of life, the author creates a whole new relationship between the readers and the story. Besides, this element of the story does promote the cultural understanding of the key theme of the story. The narrative use that involves culture enhances the cultural relationship of the story to my way of life.

The other different narrative appears when the monster tells his own story to the reader. Hearing the story from this point of view determines how I look at the theme of love in the novel We as the readers can see him from a whole new perspective o point of view another hand when the story I told by the author.  From the first days of his life, he has been all alone with no one to help him or even provided him with necessities like food and shelter. His narrative is to help us to understand the true nature of the monsters and does alter the kind of relationship which I have concerning the story (Larry, 23).   Initially, it did appear like the Frankenstein’s monster is a dangerous monster capable of inflicting a lot of pain on others. However, from this narrative by the monster himself, we develop a full different understanding of the beast with others.   It creates a whole different relationship with the story as it gives the readers another type of knowledge of the theme of humility and love that the monster demonstrates through his narrative.

The use of a different narrative over the perspective of the monster concerning nature helps shapes the reader’s entirely new relationship with the story. According to the story, as told by the beast, during his early life in the forest, he can appreciate the beauty of nature by noticing the songs of birds and leads a compassionate and humble life by living off of nuts and berries rather than hunting for meat. This different narrative in the story helps the readers start appreciating nature as well and relate to the story in a whole different way. The description promotes a varying understanding of the importance of quality. Other this, it creates a point of view of the role of nature as an element in the development of a whole new theme of the story (Larry, 48).

The use of multiple narratives of the novel alters my understanding of how the monster has been used in symbolizing a whole different thing. The unusual use of narratives in the fiction is critical in the development of a diverse yet rewarding kind of relationship between the readers and the novels and the themes developed by the author.  The use of various narratives by Shelley is a show of the various points of view that she intends for her audience. It gives the varying viewpoints of the story, for example  Despite the signals that Frankenstein’s monster possesses humanity and the possibility of some good, he appears to have been rejected by everyone who he tries to reach out to in the story. This element alone portrays a different relationship that she wants her audience to have concerning the novel (Martin, 39).

Hearing the story from the various points of view as a result of the use of the different narratives in the story helps in fostering a whole varying and a more comprehensive range of understanding of the themes of the story. Besides, through the various perspective created by the diverse narrative use, the readers can have different aspects of the story and hence relate differently from the story.  Depending on which kind of narrative appeals most to a reader, a relationship on the story based on the chosen point of view is essential. In the story, the primary narrative use is the narrative of the monster, as told by Shelley, the author of the novel, and the tale as determined by the monster itself. These two significant narrative use help in the development of a full new understanding of the story based on what is more appealing. However, each point of view created by the narrative uses shapes the relationship of the reader and the story in a different way (Larry, 48).

Hearing the story from a different point of view aster my understanding of the story in a way that the author intends to. This alters my relationship with the story and the major theme created. The use of the multiple narratives in the novel works in shaping my overall understanding of the vital topic by the development of contrasting and or opposing sides of the story.  The use of the multiple narratives in telling the nature of the monster in the story appeals to the emotional element of the readers a well as the spiritual/ religious aspect. These different points of view of the novel developed by the multiple narratives are critical in promoting the various understanding of a vital theme of the story, such as that of hatred. From the varying points of view created by the two, it is possible to understand the element hatred in the story from Frankenstein’s monster nature demonstrate. I feel through the narrative I relate with the story’s themes differently as a continuous and a convectional view of a monster is disrupted considering the varying nature of viewpoints developed by the narratives (Martin, 57)

Conclusion

The novel   Frankenstein’s monster is a demonstration of the modern Prometheus. The novel, which uses the multiple narratives in telling the story, is critical in shaping the various understanding of the readers. The reader of the story from these multiple narratives is capable of developing an in-depth analysis of the novel based on the actual relationship that is stimulated by the narrative’s perspective or points of view.  In essence, the use of the multiple descriptions in the story portrays the varying viewpoints of the story that Shelley wants her reader to have and how she wants to alter our understanding through hearing the story from the different points of view. This she does with the motive of changing our relationship with the novel and the themes that she develops.
