Equality in Life
Introduction
Life is known to start at conception for me as Williams, M. E, believe too. This implies that there is a possibility of bringing in a new being into the universe and also chances of losing it. Should the newborn be brought into the world, this signifies a change and a start of a different type of life for the baby. It applies to not only humans but animals also. This essay focuses on discussing whether or not all life should be treated equally or not. It divided into three sections, which are the introduction, followed by my opinion on the topic, and finally, a conclusion that gives the final and closing remarks on the matter.
Discussion
Human rights stipulate that every individual should be equally treated regardless of their circumstances (Frankena, W. K. 1966). No one should be mistreated in any way or even tortured or degraded in any way. By equality, we cannot all be the same, but we all have common qualities that make us human. Everyone has a right to live and be protected from violence brought about by issues such as race, religion, sex, and color, among others.
Life is considered sacred (Pargament, K. I., & Mahoney, A. 2005). This applies to all genders, all creatures, and anything that is regarded as living. There is always a supernatural being or powers that are associated with life (Bown et al. 2004). These beings or powers have control of some type on each life under heaves. This implies that every life that is brought forth has a crucial role it should play in the world. Therefore, there is a clear indication that each life should be valued equally as we all have different roles to play, in which only the individual experience assigned to the task can do it best.
The most successful people in the world had some kinds of challenges growing up. For instance, president Barrack Obama was raised by a single parent and faced some problems while growing up (Edwards, R., & Who, H. Q. 2009). Had there been inequality in the opportunities for children based on whether they are single parented or have both parents, the chances are that Barrack Obama would not have been the first black president of America. Had race been a factor, he probably would not have bagged the position. This is a piece of clear evidence that life should be treated equally regardless of race.
In regards to gender, we have female leaders in quite many sectors. The nation of Croatia, since 2015, has had a female president, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic. This is a clear indication that all genders given an opportunity can succeed in any given area. There are individuals out there doing very well in life yet have some conditions like some disability. This shows that given opportunities, anyone can be the best version of themselves, which would translate to a better living place for everyone. In my opinion, life should be treated equally regardless of gender or even disabilities. Life is sacred, in my opinion, and should be valued in all aspects regardless of the differences among people.
Conclusion
In my opinion, all living creatures have equal rights and should be respected and treated equally. No one should be discriminated based on race, color, gender, language, property, nationality, or any other status. All life is special and, therefore, should be treated equally in all aspects.
