Obesity has become a widespread threatening disease with at least 2.8 million people suffering and dying every year globally. In UAE, 7 out of 10 men, under 30 are suffering from obesity. However, before obesity was only associated with high-income countries, but today it is also prevalent in middle and low-income countries.

What is obesity?

Obesity is a medical condition, which occurs when a person’s body weight is more significant than what is considered healthy for a certain height. In medical terms, if a person has a high body mass index (BMI), then he or she is suffering from obesity.
