Customer Needs
Using your research from Assessment 3a/3b and secondary research, describe what your customer needs and why they need it.
The customers of the products are majorly homeowners in the UAE. The UAE is famously known for its hospitality, and homeowners are not an exception (Stephenson, Russell, & Edgar, 2010). The homeowners in the UAE are fond of cooking a large amount of food. One of their many reasons for cooking large amounts of food is because they feel that they may have a visitor at any particular time. Therefore, when they receive a visitor, they would not face a situation where the food they prepared is not sufficient enough to cater for their needs and that of the visitor. On most occasions, the homeowners fail to encounter perceived visitors.
As a consequence, they are left with a huge chunk of food as leftovers. Most of the communities in the UAE feel that it is not to dispose of food. Therefore, they usually donate to some families. However, such families are, at times, challenging to find. Thus, the homeowners need other means to dispose of the leftovers in a right way. Therefore, Eco-grinder will be an excellent solution to their troubles.
Current Solution:
Describe what your customer is currently using. Talk about the existing garbage disposal devices
Many homeowners in the UAE are relying primarily on municipal garbage collectors to dispose of their waste. With the municipality, the homeowners are forced to pay for their garbage (Yahya, 2015). Besides, the homeowners are also relying on some street families so that they can donate the leftovers to them. However, such families are usually hard to get on the streets these days. Also, some families have adopted recycling as a means of food waste disposal. In recycling, some technologies are involved. One such technique used in the recycling of food waste is Teka TR 50.4 food waste disposer (Kitchen King, 2019). The technology is made of stainless steel and is integrated with sinks in kitchens. Willingness to Pay (WTP):
What is the highest price your customer is willing to pay for your solution? Why?
This is something you can test during the experience with the prototype.
Most consumers are willing to pay a standard price of $200. Most consumers claimed that they do not have enough land to practice agriculture. Therefore, the customers saw no need to have the pipe that directed recycled been to a farm. Eco-grinder that lacks tube is the one being at the standard price.

Write a paragraph analyzing and evaluating the potential customers from the perspective of assessing a business opportunity.
The UAE was found to be the third producer of food wastes in the world. Most of the food wastes are from homes and during Ramadhan. Besides, the government is also pushing for households to acquire food waste recycling technology (Kleiman, Forman, Ko, Giles, & Bowles, 2013). The push is due to a high percentage of landfill brought by food wastes. Also, most homeowners require such technology. During the interview, the majority claimed that they always feel shy to through food leftovers.
