The best approaches for setting up a unique literacy establishment for kids ranging from one year, 1-2 years, and 3-5 years are singing, perusing papers and pages, talking, playing word games and sounds, and drawing and composing together with the child. One of the unique things about exercise is that regular exercises, along with the child, allowed them to open doors for literacy improvement. Parents need to set more time to ensure children are involved in literacy exercises. The exercises may last for at least five minutes every day.  The exercises aim to ensure that time is utilized correctly to help the child learn. Regular activities are necessary as perusing a storybook. Children, after one year, should be associated with literacy exercises as they appreciate the discussions.

Composing and Drawing Literacy Activities

Singing and Talking Activities

When a parent talks to the youngster, youngsters are encouraged to listen attentively and improve their talking abilities. The song helps the child in the mastery of words. To enable effective singing and talking capabilities in children, here are few things to use.

  • Sing nursery school songs to the child. Nursery rhymes will help to improve the mood and language of the child. This may include singing alphabets in the form of a song.
  • The parent should use rhyme in almost everything.
  • Make rehearsals on the sound made by the child or make a sound to find out whether the child can repeat the same. Such as the sound of the cork.
  • At eating times, a parent can ask the child to comment concerning the meal or breakfast, maybe how it tastes.
  • The parent should Engage in a discussion from the environment. This may include the stirring of leaves. Ask the child whether she/he can imitate the sound made by the leaves, water, or the wind.
  • Joke with the child primarily to preschoolers to load lots of fun. For example, tell the kid, ‘I sight with my eyes there is a red object. What is the red object I may be sighting?

Reading and book-based activities

When a parent reads together with the youngster, it helps in brain development and developing capacity to comprehend, associate word and sounds, and tune in of the child. The following are some of the activities that can help the child to build reading and book-based activities.

  • Urge the child to turn book changes and discuss what he/she sees. Be attentive to the master expression and words of the child.
  • Try books that have reiteration, rhyme, and musicality
