- What specific symptoms are being portrayed by the character in the nursery rhyme?
In the first nursery rhyme, Georgie Porgie could be suffering from Bipolar disorder. Her mood keeps on changing. She is depressed for having too many children and not knowing what to do. At one time, she is cheerful in that she kisses her girls then makes them cry, gives the boys food but at the end of the day; she beats them up before she takes them to bed. So she is at one time a caring and at the other time harsh to her kids.
Humpty Dumpty, on the other side, suffers from Post Trauma Stress. She developed the problem after falling off the wall. Everyone tried to compose her but was in vain. They instead scare her. After falling, Dumpty had flashbacks on what happened which brought her much anxiety.
Ding Dong Bell Jack Sprout and his wife have an eating disorder. They never ate because the Pussy was in the well. After they managed to remove it from the well, they ate and made sure that the plate was let clean.
Little Tommy stout suffers from anxiety. He keeps on trying drawing a cat which did not do any wrong. Instead, it helped in eating all the mice around them.
- If you were doing a clinical interview with the character that you chose, what questions would you ask that would help you to justify your diagnosis?
If i interviewed with Georgie Porgie, i would ask questions concerning how she feels about her life with her many children. I would inquire about her interest in raising the ifs. I would also check if her appetite keeps on changing and whether she is afraid of anything.
- What type of assessment (cognitive, personality, behavioural observations) would you conduct to get a better understanding of what the character is experiencing?
To get a better understanding of the disorder, my assessment would focus on behavioural observations to get a clue on what George Pordy is doing
- What theoretical perspective would you take to conceptualize the behaviour?
I would try to talk to the patient concerning her behaviour.
- How would you treat this character? Please address medication and/or therapeutic interventions.
I will administer antidepressants and talk therapy to end negative thoughts by ensuring to modify the negative behaviours. Also, i would give Psychotherapy which would also though discuss and would entail treating ental disorders (Beard et al., 2016).
