Template Value Chain My Life
A value chain can be defined as a range of activities that company effects to deliver a valuable product. The product goes through a structured sequence of activities during which it adds value at every stage. The final value of the product, therefore, is a function of the values added at each stage. In the growth and development of an individual, a person’s life can be defined and effectively managed through the chain value model with the person being viewed as a product that goes through various elements in life stages and experiences that serve to add value to them.
I regard my life as an imperative organization I will ever manage. Viewing my life in this angle, I can use the organizational chain value model to manage my life with me as the product going through various life stages and experiences that result in a final end product that is more valuable than the initial. In my personal value chain, therefore, I am the end product that is supposed to gain a projected standard of value after going through various elements or a range of activities. This range of activities thus reflects a corresponding functionality that is defined in the initial value chain system.
The main elements that are characterized in my chain value model include upbringing, training, professional activities,and networking. Upbringing is a fundamental element in the model through which I acquire real-life experiences. Through life experiences, I obtain the basic life skills that add value to my life. Through my upbringing and experiences, I am also able to acquire essential values in life, such as resilience, integrity, hard work, among others, that add significant value to me as a product. Education is another essential element in my personal value chain. Through education, I am able to gain a wide range of knowledge and skills that that significantly add value to my life. It is through education that I am able to specialize in a particular line of expertise that defines the foundation of my career
The skills I obtain at the tertiary level also put in a position where I can market my services for a given monetary value. Also, as a product in my personal chin value, enrolling for any form of educational training over and above my undergraduate studies will significantly add value to my life. Professional activities and the experience I obtain through my line of duty also sharpen my skills and mastery of my profession. Networking is also a significant element in my personal chain value through which I am able to expand my social and professional links. Through these links, I am also able to access opportunities that may play a significant role in my personal growth and development. Going through the four elements, therefore, I will be able to come out with a more valuable product than I was initially the same way a product goes through a value chain to attain the value it is given.
The inclusion of the above essential elements in my life, for example, the acquisition of crucial values in life such as hard work and integrity, will put me in a better position to face life difficulties and relate well with other people, respectively. Good education and tertiary training will be a good addition to my resume, and this will not only expose me to better opportunities in life but will also give me a better competitive advantage against other employees. With a good resume, I, therefore, be in a better position to climb up the corporate ladder. Networking will also expose me to better opportunities in my life through which I can advance farther.
