How many of you have played Holi with only waters??

Haha, that’s my sister and me, used to play Holi with water.

But now when I look, I feel guilty and ashamed of myself that I have wasted lots of water without any reason.

A water crisis is rising, and if we don’t solve it, we need to live in hell.

In Latur, Maharastra, the government has imposed CRPC 144 to control the fight for the water. What does it mean? It simply means you cannot gather near the water source like well, river etc.

Just think for a minute- That place where we used to play, that land will be the war of land, where people will fight for the water.

Did our Ancestor have ever thought that we need to buy water also. But it’s our reality.

Are we responsible for this crisis?

Yes, we are completely responsible.

How?

The roots and stems of tree help flow of water of the river to preserve.

And if we cut the trees, where will the river goes?? In the ocean, where it has of no use.

I’ll tell you one story-

Niger, which is close to Sahara desert. It was 150degree, sandy, dry, and brutal.

The only available water in a place like this lies in 100-year-old holes in the ground.

All the women used to hoist water by rope, one bucket a time, which made their hands gnarly, shredded, calloused, and hard.

One traveller has witnessed that that women were waking up before sunrise to collect water, cooking breakfast, going to collect more water, pounding grain for lunch and dinner, and then collecting water again.

He asked one lady- when she got time to rest.

She answered- There’s no time for rest!

Question- What’s your favourite part of the day?

She answered- Anytime I’m not pulling water.

Let’s look at the overall crisis of water in India-

Talking about RIVER-

The level of Godavari river has become a drought.

40% of Krishna River has become infertile

We don’t know our holy Ganga will remain all 12th month

We already know about Kaveri river.

In 1989, the total polluted river was just 22, and now it has grown to 302, excluding ponds.

During the time of independence, every human being has a total of 100 litres, but now it becomes to only 30 litres per person.

You want to know more; just because of the water crises, total 83 species have become extinct. Can we assume that our poor farmer will the 84th???

Unicef has said that, in 2040, 40 billions of children’s will be directly affected by the water crisis.

And same it will affect industries, agriculture and electricity.

Now I guess you all must have known that water crisis is not other’s problem. It’s our problem.

If we don’t do anything now, it will make our life, a hell.

Sushant, can I ask you 1 question. Can you please leave this city Patna forever, right now, you have to because there’s no water to drink and use.

I am sure you didn’t like it. This is the situation happening with people, where they are migrating from their villages of countries like Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh, China, to other countries.

As a result, our city is not fully equipped to fulfill all needs?

So where will go? What can we do?

I don’t want to give many solutions where you will get confused and diverted. As Tony Robbins said,- Identify your problems but give your power and energy to solutions.

In my childhood days, I have studied the term- afforestation and deforestation.

Does anybody also study the same??

Never forget that our Ancestor was farmers and how we love the Wet soil in our games.

Restoring and protecting forests today is one measure that can help prevent the water crises of tomorrow.

Prevent future, and you can change it by planting more and more trees.
