Water is an essential component of our diet. That being said, they’re so so many infused water recipes that are essential for a specific set of outcomes. Here are some of the best-infused water recipes you should consider adding to your diet alongside their benefits. You might find some of these water recipes a bit grotesque or disgusting, but don’t worry, your interest should be on their long-term effect than how inaudible they are. Let’s dive in, shall we?

  1. Cucumber water.

Add two thinly sliced cucumbers into a glass of water. You could add some ice and then fill the glass with water. Cucumber water provides extra vitamins and antioxidants, which help in preventing cell damage. You could also consider pairing the latter up with some fruit for some extra vitamins such as vitamin A and vitamin C, which is on top of the vitamin k that is present in the cucumber.

Soak a cup of uncooked rice into the water in a large vessel and leave it to settle for about an hour before straining it into a water glass or a bottle.

Rice water is good for stomach related ailments such as gastric problems, nausea, and stomach infections. It also improves gut health which helps give you a smooth and radiant skin. This can be either taken a fennel tea or just water. Fennel tea or water helps in flushing out excess fluids as it works as a diuretic while also reducing the risk of the urinary tract.

Fennel tea also helps indigestion, stomach bloating, and constipation due to the oils that are found within the fennel seeds.

Rosewater has anti-inflammatory properties that help in treating ailments, both internally and externally. It also soothes sore throats and works as an antiseptic to help treat infections.

Rosewater contains antioxidants that help protect cells from damage. Also, rosewater helps relieve headaches due to its de-stressing effects.

  1. Mint water.

Mint water can be made by obtaining the plant, crashing or smashing it, and then adding water. Alternatively, you could opt to boil the mint in a bowl of water and then leave it to cool (you could opt to put it in a fridge if you want).

Mint water helps reduce nausea due to its strong scent. This smell can also help alleviate headaches. Also, mint water helps clear up congestion, contains oxidants, reduces the effects of breastfeeding, aids digestion, among many others.

  1. Honey water.

Water with honey helps fight cough and throat infection. Honey is also a natural sweetener hence a glass of water mixed with honey should help lose weight and also improve food passage while also soothing allergies.

  1. Lemon water

Lemon water is not that foreign to us as it has been used quite countlessly around us by both family and friends. Well, lemon water, being a citrus fruit, contains a high level of vitamin C, which helps prevent the duration of Common Cold in a lot of people while also reducing risks of exposure to stroke and cardiovascular disease. Among other disadvantages of lemon water are; support in weight loss, reducing wrinkling of the skin, acts as a laxative that helps prevent constipation, contains citric acid that helps prevent kidney stones. It is advised, however, that when making lemon water, avoid using artificial lemons but rather settle for natural fresh lemons.

So, in general, most of these remedies are not easy to chunk down. However, there is little need to focus on how sweet whatever you’re taking in is. Most (if not all) of these remedies have been proven to work and are guaranteed to give you positive medical results. For some, however, it doesn’t hurt to add like a teaspoon of sugar just to help it go down easy.
