Who Will Survive?
Civilization has finally crumbled. The end is here, and there aren’t many that can fend for themselves. The world has become deserted, and basic human needs get insatiable. Water and food are scarce, which means only eight people can survive to populate in the future and thrive as a colony. As a 47-year-old violinist, I deserve a spot as an elite survivor because as a changed man and currently six months free from jail after serving seven years for dealing drugs. This paper argues why a 47-year-old with excellent health has reached physical peek, why drug dealing helped him throughout his life to feed himself and pay the bills, and why as a violinist, he will survive.
Studies reveal that the physical peek of a man is in his late 20s or 30s. Therefore it means that from this age, the man has fully realized himself and understood the goals he possesses. It only calls for ambitions over how he will carry out the rest of his life (modern man). Life calls for an individual to possess a self-drive character that will help him support his family and his daily developments. Playing violin has also been the profession that the parents invested in the man despite himself finding refuge in the sales of drugs. Serving a jail sentence for seven months has led to the transformation of that man, and he is thus ready to start a new beginning. Initially, before going to prison, the man was a drug trafficker, and he invested a lot in that business. He did not depend on anyone, and hence he had worked hard to ensure that his future was bright. At his tender age, he had strength and stamina, and thus time wastage was never his choice. Nevertheless, it is not a guarantee that a man can be physically fit in his youthful state (modern man). Therefore various people can realize themselves at old ages and thus rendering their lives productive. It all depends on individual targets and aspirations. For my hero, he trained to be a notch-violinist due to his passion for music. As a violinist, he knew he could use this as a form of entertainment and transform society.
Therefore upon coming out of jail, he might take his life seriously and work for the betterment of not only himself but also the entire society. Seven years in prison is not a joke, and hence he knows how to survive all the hardships. It’s about time to retract the evil deeds and transform. There exist critiques in society, but he has discovered his identity. Sliding in life should not discourage a person but rather act as an encouragement. Change is inevitable, and the man has realized his mistakes and vividly understand the effects associated with selling drugs. He compares himself to celebrities such as Brad Pitt and the Rock. They are older than him and yet still excelling.
Therefore age does not matter, but ambitions and passion do. Further, the man believes that freedom is the essential aspect, and thus he is ready to transform. Being in jail was hard, where he felt alienated from the outside world. Therefore for him, he just wanted freedom and living a better life with his family and friends. Additionally, it has been six months since leaving jail. He can see life-changing, and society has already accepted him back. Although some people may try to avoid him, he is kind to everyone and treats everyone rightly. He has also stopped using drugs and even joined several charity organizations in his region.
Therefore although the society may opt to define his fate, he has mentally and psychologically transitioned. He has a family to look after. He was involved in drug dealing to cater for the family. The good thing is that now he is united with the family and willing to sacrifice for them. The love for family and society guides him. Recently he was involved in awareness against drug use. The outreach targeted young people, and he pointed out the disadvantage associated with drugs. Additionally, he talked of freedom and how important it is to have your family close. Therefore, this shows a significant change towards him.
However, some people in society tend to be unsatisfied with their freedom. Few people think that he can go back to the former habits. There exist people who are unwilling to accept people back to society. Therefore some people strongly condemn him and think that he only fits jail. Nevertheless, most of these people criticizing, lack the truth, and just accuse people due to hatred and jealousy. Therefore the good thing is that the man is strong and peoples;’ perception does not shake him. After all, he understands that you cannot appease everyone in this world. What is left for him is to accept change and conform to legal, cultural, and religious requirements.
In conclusion, I recommend that people should get given chances to transform. Some of the misconducts happen due to the forces compelling an individual. At a certain age, a person becomes fully decided, and all left is for him or her to focus on his future and that of the family. Therefore it is ideal for everyone to be a subject of change and act towards the betterment of everyone. Nevertheless, few people exist to oppose, but this is incomparable to the large number supporting your transformed deeds.
