Data freezing
If a direct marketer does not have the necessary resources to create frozen files for every test sample, the other available option is to create a consumer-friendly data test to support the data freezing activity. Steps to perform these activities are as follows:
- A particular name of the test should be selected along with consumer data to promote the test
- A unique key code should be created on the database to mark the chosen consumer names for test promotion
- A file should be created for each of the names selected to address consumer identification. Later, the file can be sent to the shop for further promotional activities
- Hence, a record should be selected that includes all the consumer data for further analysis. The file will be called a frozen file.
Later, marketers should update the consumer records on the information provided in the database using a unique key code. Hence, the information in the frozen file is further updated.
