how an aspect of your life has influenced the way you use English
Without a doubt, English is the language with the highest number of speakers in the whole world. According to research, it is spoken by one person in every group of four people. Despite the high number of speakers, different factors may influence a person to talk to English. This paper examines the aspects of life that have influenced the way a person speaks the English language.
Culture
Most of the people do not understand there is a very close connection between the English one speaks and the culture. In every culture, there are overtones that a person is not usually able to erase from the English they learn. These overtones vary from one country to another based on what the culture entails. The reason for culture to be a leading factor is because the culture is expressed through the language. The ascent that a person adopted in their first language cannot be done with; despite a person speaking some good English, the accent of their language is still usually heard from their conversation. For example, the Indians who have learned English as their second language always speak in well in a way that a person can understand though their ascent rules the conversation. A person is borne with his culture, and that is the reason why most people despite learning English, are not usually able to do away with it. It is only right to accommodate the element of culture in your conversation instead of fighting it, which is impossible. Don't use plagiarised sources.Get your custom essay just from $11/page
Religion
Religion entails what we believe in. Religion is mostly based on where one comes from. Most of the people belong to the religion that they were introduced to when they were young by either the parents or their guardians. Examples of the religions that are most known are Christianity, Islamic, and Hinduism. Examples of the Muslims I have come across have a particular accent when speaking in English that most of them are usually unable to control. The Hindus also have a certain ascent that is brought by their religion and their beliefs, which is heard from their conversation despite them being clear. Religion is a strong influencer of how we speak in English. It is very difficult to overdo that element of religion reason being most of us usually have learned it since we were kids.
Conclusion
Most of the use bares a lot of characters that are similar to where we have come from. Culture and religion are things that we grow up with; this, they get so deep in our minds to a point where we cannot be able to leave them completely. Religion and culture differ from where one comes from, depending on what the community you were brought up in does or believes. These two are among the factors that most of us cannot be able to do with despite learning English and using it to communicate in our day to day activities.
