Obesity is the excessive fat in the body of a human being that affects one’s health. In the USA it has increased over the last several years and is now a serious public health problem. In recent data, almost one-third of children and teenagers are obese. This is approximately 23 million in number.
Causes
Many of the children have an energy imbalance. This means that they are taking a large number of calories than burns. This has been a result of spending most of the time watching television, playing video games, and also using other types of media. Furthermore, aged children walked that is most of the children are taken to school by use of cars, bike, and also due to either wrong weather distance and even fear of crimes leading to short walking paths that contribute to obesity. Social issues may also contribute in obesity, this may happen when the economic is very high and there is lack of money to buy healthy food.

Overweight and obesity lead to increase of risk such as asthma among children and the teenagers. In addition obese children are at a high risk of psychosocial problem, fatty liver and also sleep apnea. Also children with obesity has been found to have risk of cardiovascular diseases which include high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure and also abnormal glucose. Due to inadequate excises they also develop a problem of leg swelling since they spend a lot of time sitting and also sleeping and this can also lead to the problem of blood clots. Taking fresh fruits and vegetables which help one to loss weigh and which reduces chances of obesity. Surgery also help in the treatment of obesity by removing the body part of a person so that they cannot absorb many calories as before. Hormonal treatment also help people with obesity. This is done by harnessing these hormones leading to novel, non-surgical options. By doing so the research suggest that combining certain hormones may provide an effective therapy.
