I have concerns over the pollution volumes currently in the world. There are global efforts to ensure the preservation of the environment. Environmental pollution has increased, and which is contributing to world vices like diseases and even death. If environmental issues are not addressed, we will face global problems that will never be corrected. The care of the environment should not be an individual effort but an effort of all people who want generations after generations to survive. Efforts to ensure that the situation is conducive for sustaining are a matter of global concern.
Leading substances in environmental pollution are plastics. Most plastics take more than 100 years to decompose. Most plastics have one-time use meaning after being used once, they are useless and dropped as waste. The next step is throwing them away as waste. Not that is the foundation of plastic pollution.
On the product Idea, the product of choice in my way should have an economical and environmental benefit. The outcome of choice was making biodegradable plastics that could decompose quickly and benefiting economically. The decision was the production of Hemp to produce bioplastic bottles. Hemp production is a cash cow in the market currently after the government federal government passed laws authorizing the cultivation of Hemp shunning the negative side of its abuse. The average acreage is increasing daily as demand for Hemp continually growing. After analyzing the industrial hemp demand, I noted it was a feasible idea taking into consideration factors like environment, economic growth, and I realized there are more opportunities than threats.
Combining the hemp bioplastic production, I noted it is a feasible project on the following grounds.
- The business idea should be environmentally sensitive. Hemp production will result in environmental care and global move to ensure that we restore and maintain the right weather conditions.
- Before venturing to a business, legality must be established. In our case, Hemp, cultivation was passed in 2014.
- Identification of the market gap helps in understanding the business sector better. After the authorization of Hemp, the demand for Hemp increased. Since there was no legal production before the approval, it presented an opportunity to cultivate it and benefit from the increasing demand.
- The ultimate business aim is profit maximization and cost reduction. The business must develop up strategies that will ensure that all resources are used to maximum capacity, and the profits derived are maximum. Costs to the company should be maintained as low as possible. Hemp profitability growth after analysis for the period starting 2014 after the cultivation authorization shows it a promising venture with signs of superprofit possibilities.
- The society will judge an individual or organization based on what they give back to the community through corporate social responsibility. Hemp cultivation’s impact on society will be directly after the research stated that every individual uses more than 300 water bottles annually in the US. It means all plastic bottles are released to the environment contributing to the latest environmental pollution. With our bioplastic bottles, pollution will reduce because the bottles will be biodegradable.
