crisis of corporate capture of democratic administration
America has been facing a crisis of corporate capture of democratic administration. The robust economic corporations have been translating to political control with disastrous effects for individual’s lives. Nonetheless, corporations of humongous wealth and remorseless possession of power have seized and made politics to work for their benefits. Thomas Jefferson, the author of the declaration of independence, warned against the threat to democracy posed by large banks and enormous corporations that had a selfish spirit of commerce. Jefferson attempted to change the rules to limit the control of money over administration and empower all individuals to engage politically as a countervailing force.
Despite the efforts invested in by Thomas over excess corporate, the supreme courts would not heed or respect the original intent of the founders. Thomas’s distrust of concentrate and consolidated control was termed to be a legacy for all dissidents against the United States. Nevertheless, the founder did not want a lot of administration recognition but wanted an administration that would assert the sovereignty of citizens over corporations, which was more critical to the health of the nation and the people. Therefore, the intentions of corporations to flex political powers were crushed down by Jefferson by bidding defiance to the United Nations laws that aimed at strengthening the government against aristocracy.
