My favorite sport
My favorite sport both as a participant and spectator is soccer. Soccer is a game that is fun and exciting to watch. Soccer is said to have begun around the 19th century in England. The game is played by twenty-two players with eleven players from each team. The game is governed by a set of rules and is usually monitored by a central referee who is assisted by at least two linesmen. Several teams play against each other in a tournament or league to win trophies and different awards. The winner is decided by the team which scores most goals against the opponent. The following are the reasons I love football.
For many years, soccer has grown to become my favorite sport because of the following reasons. Soccer is a sport that is very easy to learn and play. It is easy to kick the ball, and one can easily advance in the techniques of play with time. Games of soccer contain thrilling action. During matches, the players employ various tactics to enable them to hold the ball longer and score their opponent. Soccer also generates bonding and builds relationships among people and family. Watching football games is fun with fried and family members. During such moments, people get closer hence improving their relationships. Soccer can be used as a tool to champion for peace among different communities since it helps bring people together. Both spectators and players come from different backgrounds and are united when they play soccer.
In conclusion, soccer is an exciting game enjoyed by billions of people around the world because of the simplicity and fun found when either playing or spectating the sport. That is the reason why soccer remains to be my number one sport.
