Couples and Family Therapist is a professional who is concerned with the mental and emotional health of couples and families. Couples and Family and therapy is not a spontaneous intervention to family problems, and therefore it requires an elaborate plan. As a result, I will develop an intervention to help deal with the family problem that a given couple is facing. the plan will have the various characters. One of the characteristics is that it will be brief to ensure that it is easily understood by the couples. Correspondently, the plan will be solution focused and to ensure that it is precise in targeting the actual problem. Since the intervention is a progressive process, I will require findings and advice from other mental health professionals such as psychologists and psychiatrists. I will also need financial support from the agency to deal with any financial gaps that might derail with the progress of the plan.
- The reason why the chosen intervention will be effective for the family
The reason why the chosen intervention will be effective for the family because of I believes that the family is facing emotional and mental gaps which the couple has no capabilities to fill. As a result, the couple has found itself in emotional and mental wrangles which eventually resulted in misunderstanding and conflicts. However, with therapy, this problems can be remedied, and the family lives can be streamlined. Mr. C and the wife can be brought back together through therapy.

- Analyzing other intervention
Family education is one of the other interventions that can help in improving families and couples mentally and emotionally. It is a continuous process that helps in educating family members on certain serious and mental problems that might affect the family, and this helps them with coping skills and ability to help family members dealing with the emotional or mental problem. It is a good intervention as it will help in the prevention of conflicts that might arise due to lack of understanding. The other intervention is family policy. This are social programs, public directives, and laws that help in promoting marriage and raising o children. The intervention would give positive results to families because it is rigid and it properly defines the role of each family member.
Regarding the family, family education and family policies might not be of much help. Notably, the conflict between Mr. C and his wife is emotional as they are affected by the expectation that marriage and coupling demands. Therefore, the first step is to ensure that they restore the cohesion that was initially there and this can be achieved by the therapist. Using family policy will make the situation worse for the couple as the objective is to create a good relationship between them for their sake and that of their child.

I am pleased with what I choose because I have a strong conviction that family therapy has a place in the society and it can be used in fixing most of the problems that are couple and family related. Creating a good relationship requires understanding which can be generated through therapy. In this regard, I don’t think will make any changes
