 The question of whether the composition is being taught wrongly or not is common in everyday media debates. Most people could wonder since some of the students show lack of capability to write clear sentences. Teachers may remain prepared and committed to change that. My argument will be based on the article written by Emily shear Stewart on No, We’re Not Teaching Composition ‘All Wrong.’

Teachers all over the world have come in different assignments, activities and readings which comments on student’s compositions. In class context students failure is their teacher’s fault; therefore a teacher should commit themselves in identifying the problem and rectify it. Most of the students upgrading may cost their education system; for instance, the poor students can overwhelmingly be failed if exposed to an education system that focuses on testing rather than learning (Beck 10).

Writing and reading, focus on process, not the product. Writing on complex issues should be considered rather than imitating rhetorical models, these make students start performing. It is clear that many students do not revise and use much of their time away from learning mostly working. Students do not have time to review their drafts. Consequently they end up   submitting poor quality work (Nickwez 20).

Teachers should understand the need for a student to learn to read their original writings. Developing the student’s skills ensures that there is no lousy writer but what is needed is a practice. Moreover giving feedback on other student’s works is a form of peer workshop,   importantly accomplishing student’s goals. Student develop skills in revising, giving feedbacks and improving writing skills (Teller 12).

Teacher has the responsibility to teach students to master argumentative wring skills. Student’s inability to use an argumentative form of writing could make student improve their way of reasoning. Teachers can help their students in becoming better writers by understanding, Students need to be continually writing, and this could make them feel more comfortable with their work in standard class, improving their techniques and abilities.

Teachers should be mentors, not judges, for one to be successful in their teaching career, there is a need of, being a person to be imitated by your students. Correcting, students, if they went wrong in the writing, could make them, feel motivated and wanting to know more. Contrary to a tutor who spends most of the time blaming and judging students based on their performance in class work. Teaching on compositions requires commitment and dedication. Tutors should be ready to be the real role models to their students. Interestingly a student would be in the best mood if they get praised or credited for their excellent performance in wring compositions rather than being judged and misunderstood the moment they underperform in their writing (Beck 17).The general observation here is that every student has that capacity to perform better in writing their composition, but this depends on the way there are taught if the teacher is full of judging his students. Students may grow with negative perception towards composition writing, but this could be corrected if the teacher would have been so considerate and willing to be a role model to their students.

In the modern world, there are cases of school dropouts, due to the judging of student out of their class performance. Students see themselves as being discriminated and less important before their counterparts. Teachers should also focus on ensuring that students need to be interacting with ideas. Exposing students to the different open class discussion while teaching them would give every student a room to express their opinions and ideas. It is during such a debate when the teacher gets typically the opportunity to identify the student’s weakness and strengths. Students develop the courage to express the eras where they have no understood and through making, entirely motivated on learning more. In a teaching environment where a teacher can ask a question regarding the topic discussed, different students can give their ideas, it through such interaction where both the teacher and students develop their plans. Writing skill can be enhanced through teaching the students on mastering on speaking, and communication skills (Nickwez 24).The tutors who primarily teach their student to stay focused on learning both writing and communication skills remain attached to the students, and the results are always better.

Writing process is as important as the product, many teachers out there focus on making sure that their students get to lean the wring skill and above all become best in wring structure. To achieve the product, teachers need to work closely with their students. In the class work, students need to be guided and prepared adequately to monitor the relevant skills necessary to make a good write up (Teller 13).Students will always give the best products and become proficient writers if they observe keenly what their teacher is training them on composition writing.

Making student less afraid of writing, could show poor teaching skills. Any teacher needs to be a performer and best. They have to train and guide their children toward writing effectively keenly. Writing ability does not require any negative motivation; teachers should always direct their students towards getting in write with the courage to display the skills they learned in class (Beck 20).Highly performing students are those taught and still trained not to be afraid of writing, instead to keenly review they are writing, that of their peers and make any necessary corrections before submitting the drafts to their teachers for making.

Teaching skills need one to avoid getting frustrated with students, instead of any misunderstanding, a teacher should approach as the student, teach them how to read, write and communicate effectively. Instead of getting demoralized and frustrated by the student’s behavior or work, one should instead see their weakness and rectify that using the appropriate means. In the nutshell I believe that teachers are not teaching composition all wrong.
