METHODOLOGY FOR BPI DATA SUPPORT

The purpose of the study will be Implementation of the Business Process for Impact BPI model in enhancing service delivery, which will lead to the attainment of universal health care in Kiambu/ Nairobi. Human-Centered Design approach will be used in this model. It will be focusing on the communities of practice and data visibility across the given levels of models.

The model will involve high-level engagements specifically at national and county levels. Further, identification and networking of the community of practice the promotion of human-centered design and improved data design. The study has various objectives, which include; Harnessing communities of practice (CP), Customizing data to each CP for more effective collection, use, and performance (“data diamond”) and utilizing human-centered design to catalyze engagement of CPs and enhance innovation (the “glue”). Besides, monitoring and evaluation involve quantitative measures on the assessment of model performance at different levels.

Familiarize me with the need and importance of the survey, the requirements, target respondents, and the approach to be used. Also, get to know the structure of the NACC and make acquaintance with personnel who will be part of this study. Establish effective and efficient communication channel upwards and downwards.

I will define the Health, HIV, and other supportive metrics or indicators of success and the data or information that will be collected and shared at each level of the pyramid. Also, update baseline survey- this will be guided by the M&E framework and the indicators of success identified by each county.

I will develop and update the roadmap with clear milestones guided by the national roadmap and timeframe. Also, support in the development or review of the tools for the process. Besides, I will coordinate Implementation and Evaluation across the levels of the model, support the organization and coordination of training at County levels, documentation of the process, report writing and Reporting during the relevant meetings and also prepare documentation that will be used to communicate to stakeholders on the BPI implementation.

I will get accustomed to relevant tools, equipment, and documents, reporting systems, and timelines. Also, sign the necessary documents. Receive any material and equipment that the client may wish to place under my custody for use and pass the same, as and where appropriate, pass the same to the data collectors.

Through the assistance of the NACC field coordinators and line government personnel gets to understand the area of operation, targeted respondents thoroughly; social dynamics, and related factors like behavioral patterns and predominant language.

I will, in collaboration with field officers, reach the respondents, familiarize the respondents and guardians with the need and importance of the survey, seek their consent/permission to participate, and assure them of utmost confidentiality of the information given in. Here I will where applicable, use a local language vernacular to ensure that the contents need and confidentiality aspects are understood well by the respondents and their guardians. The respondents and guardians will then sign the assent forms.

COMMENTS ON TERMS OF REFERENCE

For the success of the implementation Business Process for Impact in enhancing service delivery, I will require the following as terms of reference;

• Means of mobility should be provided.
• The client should provide a means of communication and incur any incidental costs for this exercise.
