History

St. Thomas College of Engineering and Technology was established in 2002. It is under the ownership and management of St. Thomas Educational Trust, Adoor. The creation of the college was purposely to expand technical education facilities in the region. The main objective was to create a pool of quality professional institutions for learners from the area. This would give the students self-assurance to handle difficult tasks with confidence. It has been operational since then, producing very competent Engineers in specific fields. The college was affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University in the year 2010. The college experienced a significant improvement in terms of students’ admission since the yearly enrollment was 500 students. Since 2015, the college has been affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

Campus

The campus is situated at Chengannur, which is in the beautiful scenery and an excellent lake view nearby, providing a very comfortable learning environment. The college offers comfortable and well-furnished accommodation facilities for both female and male students. It also has a comfortable bus service to enhance the proper transportation of students and staff to nearby destinations.

It has lecture halls and tutorial rooms that are equipped with audio and video systems tools useful for teaching.
