How I decided I wanted to do CA?

So this was today’s question, and after reading everyone’s response, my decision to take was total ownership of me.

After writing my heart out, I just wanted to write 3-4 sentences, I came to realize this article got too big (over 500 words). So if you are looking for a summary, I just took CA as a course.

But if you want my personal experience on it and some life insights (maybe you may get your own some), read it. 🙂

I wanted to do BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) because I love computers so much (even today, I have helped a lot of friends to make computers from the scrap). But the specifically I did BCA was because I was not too fond of maths. I couldn’t;t get Binominal theorem into my brain.

But later, I found out Indian School System rewards the steps and the process. How you get the answer, and they want us to get to the answer the same way. Which I find pretty bad one of many flaws in it. In the USA, for example, they need answers, and you can do your own way. And on the 11th exam, I studied from Khan Academy alone. Haha. Yes, the wrong decision.

I then have to later drop the maths, and now I need to go with Economics. Still, due to parents’ pressure and my own lack of self-awareness, I was pressured to take Computer, and I did.

This move not just at that moment looks good, but I already knew what MP board Computer teaches nothing.

And in the process of all this (11th and 12th), I had developed a love for books. And I know one incident where I had read 30 books in just 3 months. Even today I couldn’t complete it. I was reading everywhere. Especially during boring class and all.

I did pretty well and passed the 12th. Now comes the final decision for me to take. I had read amazing books about companies tand I would love to start one. And at that time, thanks to the high strestor level in my body, I was really looking for a big challange (even today I am), and usually what people were doing is CA. So I got to research into what the hell is CA.

After reading tons of articles, I came to realize, everything I wanted to achieve in my life, CA can provide me a spectacular base for it. I was hearing CA is good but nobody was recommending it to me. Implied that I am a very weak student. And thats true.

One incident, after exams ended, I went to a friend’s house and I saw his sister is doing CA, I saw the syllabus. And was astanuished by it. From Custom taxastion to Ecommerce, from Law to IT. I had already read books about all these and I really want to explore more. I didn’t asked my friend how much she studies everyday (which was more than 10 hours I later found out, ouch).

So that was the pretty much reaason why I decided to do CA.
