my own personal worldview based on issues such as spirituality, pluralism, scientism, postmodernism, prime reality, nature of the world around us, nature of human beings and human history

Introduction

Notably, the world has shown a gradual but constant change.  People have different personal worldview based on their beliefs and assumptions which influence their perception on human cognitive orientation, personal attributes and social construct (Hirsto, & Buchert, 2016). Personally, I also have my own personal world view which I hold in response to the world around me.  My perception about the world has been influenced by both my observations, religion and the general influence of the society around me. For instance, my family and especially my father had a strong influence on my world view up to date. He was able to install me with beliefs and values that he had learnt in his life and many of his notion still influence me up to date.  It is worth noting that personal world view is not something that develops overnight  but it is much based on the  experience that an individual gains as he or she explore various variable in the world. In this paper I am going to explore my own personal worldview based on issues such as spirituality, pluralism, scientism, postmodernism, prime reality, nature of the world around us, nature of human beings and human history.

According to my view, spirituality is a concept that extend beyond our religion perception and practice. It is a human connection beyond something beyond the temporal. I have always made the suggestion that people who are religious are not necessary spiritual in that one can follow the required religion practices but fail to have an accrued connection to the superior power which i prefer to call spirits.  Notably, religion was a path that was provided to connect people with the spiritual world but this notion has far being used by many people to decisive people in the current era of modernism. The manner in which human beings sort spiritual world should be reviewed as it can be used to bring good or bad.

Though pluralism is a concept that is spread in various facets including politics, according to my own personal perception is a concept that represents diversity in the society (Smith, 2014). The diversity can encompass many variables including religion, gender, race, ethnicity among others.  Pluralism concept is central approach that ensure the progress of the society through sharing and competition. On the other hand, scientism is rather a scientific ideology that insist that science is a subject that is equally applicable to all the other disciplines. It is an approach that is inclined to the fact that only science can be used to prove existing theory. According to my personal world view, this is a rather redundant approach as there are some approaches that are beyond science and can only be explained suing other form of approaches. I believe that science is just a human perception which can be categorised as a religion of the world.

In my view, postmodernism is a kind of modern philosophy which represents the departure of modernism and which represents an attitude of irony, scepticism toward the meta-narratives and ideologies of modernism. It is an approach that tends to question some of the aspects within the facet of modernism including enlightenment rationality, reality, human nature and social progress.

Though many scholars have discussed the scope of prime reality and made several definitions, I have a strong belief that it is the manner in which God is presented in the Bible.  God is the prime reality and he is the source of all known and perceived reality. I have a strong conviction that God exists and he is omnipresent.  He is everything and we are obliged to worship him and ask Him for His protection.

The nature of the world around me is the external reality and it is the world that God created.  God created the rules that governs the world around me and He answers players using the external reality.  Everything in the world was created with a reason thus there is a uniformity of cause.  It is therefore our responsibility to take care of the world and everything in it.

According to my view, human beings are a creation of God and we were created in His own image.  Therefore, we are creatures who are guided by God elements such as intelligence, morality, self-transcendence and morality.  Though human being beings were created in Gods image, they sinned and they became distanced to God. Human beings are therefore required to repent and pray God for blessing as God still loves them.

On the issue of what happens to a person at death, a person is transformed and he or she enters the afterlife which is special place in heaven. Only those people who were good when they were on earth enter heaven. Those who were sinful proceed to hell after death. On the issue of why it is possible to know everything at all, I believe that God gave us the abilities to know Him and the world at large. Also we are able to know right or wrong because we are guided by the Holy Spirit who was left to us by Jesus Christ during His ascent. On the other hand, human history is a description of how human beings have developed and progressed since they were created.

From the research I was able to learn about many variable in life including the actual meaning and how I can connect with myself. From the background research, the most difficult thing was to explain postmodernism. I found it difficult to differentiate between modernism and postmodernism. I found my personal world view the most helpful as I could be able to see the wide part of me and I was able to connect with the external world.
