Media continues to live up to the impossible
‘’Media has been playing the impossible lifestyle image music too loud and the young generation we seem to drown in the lyrics just perfectly well’’ well, putting it in my own words that is what everyone out here thinks media is all about, the negative platform everyone is depending on. Social media has evolved our communication and interaction ways to a highly new level and it’s only fair for us to say that the platform is both a savior and our true identity killer. When we look at media according to how everyone is presenting themselves in it with an “all successful” perception and being able to hide their breakdowns and failures in the real life pitch, I for one it makes me hate social media. But again it has been the guardian that warns us of the dangers before they even make their way to us.
There are footages looming over Florida of Hurricane Michael, the recent powerful and scary storm on the record that has killed 2 people so far, shoved-down trees and has washed- out roads across three states and also drowned houses in Florida coastline. In Seminole county, Georgia a child was reported dead on Thursday and a man killed on Wednesday both by falling trees. The spreading of this news have been made possible by the presence of televisions, the internet and other platforms that we can all round them up to be media. Its spread is warning alert to all the citizens, helping them to know the direction the storm is heading, the power effects and what the reports from the hurricane center on what they say is the later expectations. So at this point we can all agree media saves us in the fastest way anything else can’t.
Social media has made us understand things school could not make us learn. I can say i studied what school expected me to know more in the media than I did in the school and without social media I wouldn’t have the knowledge experience level that I have. I have been able to refer to old literature in the internet to get an extra knowledge than my subject tutor is giving me and also looked down for old history that is already in the distinction path. Media has been able to give me a voice my real life courage can’t afford and at the same time easily given me a chance to see hard life expectation that my parents can’t find time to talk about and if they did then probably they wouldn’t say it in the most black and white sense the media presents it in.
I have seen myself compare how I look like with my friend looks every time I look at their Instagram post and how many likes they have or all the following they been getting and sometimes have found myself shrugging and just convincing myself they are worthy they attraction and I just can’t level up to it. Every youngster out there is at some point in their life suffered this social media pressure where everyone thinks you should be something else other than what you can afford to offer.
In conclusion media deserves a crown for all the amazing these that it has made come possible. People have to give thanks to the platform for all the adverts, marketing and sells operations, information giving and many other positive things that couldn’t have happened in any excellent way if were it not for the media. Again, we can agree that it deserves the dark mask as well and they only way to be just is to let it carry the two crowns.
