Physical, psychological, semantic, and environmental noises are the types that greatly influence communication negatively. Examples of these types of noises are given as follows.
  1. Physical noise: background talking, acknowledging someone outside the conversion, interruption, background music.
  2. Psychological noise: racial stereotypes, biases, assumptions, reputations.
  3. Semantic noise: default in grammar or technical languages, wrong use of words.
  4. Environmental noise: discontinuation of internet, noise pollution from roads, industrial sounds.
  • Organizations where multigenerational workforce is present, communication styles should be under the pressure as different generations are used to communicate in different styles and languages. Young generations often face problems when they want to discuss matters with their seniors. They need to maintain respect when communicating with them. Different generations tend to value different organizational structures and ideas. Coordination among these values is challenging in the multigenerational workplace.
