“Wall E” by Andrew Stanton
A satire movie that shows the future of the world in contraction to today’s world is Wall-E, by Andrew Stanton. There are no people in the earth according to the movie and for the long period the earth is covered by human wastes and when the waste covers the earth the people are left with optimism that the waste will be recovered. Nowadays people purchase mass of products and dispose of them without using them this is known to satirize consumerism. Also, the movie explains about humans in the spaceships do not move from their chairs because the machines do everything for them. (Murray, Heumann 9). Due to this, people become lazier. Communication between the people is done by the video chat of the machine hence there is no need to educate a child because the machine is there. The robot is designed to clean up the waste that covered the earth this is the central part of the Wall E movie.through this exploits the audience can realize the corrupted people.
Due to the development of technology the movie satirized the laziness of human beings. Persons nowadays desire a technical biosphere where the machine does everything for human comfort. according to the movie the technical world is not the world that the people desire even when it holds every aspect of life. In the movie, people are controlled by a machine other than controlling it. Moreover, the Wall E movie criticizes the laziness of human beings because the machine is designed so that the human institution may be improved rather than laziness and also it criticizes the consumer-based culture. Wall-E is interesting in robots nad heroes as it the main idea of the project. Don't use plagiarised sources.Get your custom essay just from $11/page
The people in the movie are referred to as mindless clients. This is because they receive the nutrition of beverages brought to them by the robot attendants whenever there is a new style they change the color of their clothes. hence exist in a digital world. The humans don’t care about the earth their children are educated by the robots. They are like robots but the differences are that their bodies are atrophied.also they act as robots because they don’t use their minds.
The character of computers seems to be more human than that of the human population. The robots are not programmed and they have a personality of doing things they want. In the movie, the humans have fled for temporary safety of luxury spaceliner and left the robots to clean up the world. There were thousands of Waste Allocation load Lifter Earth Class robots roaming in the earth and cleaning omnipresent garbage but in the Wall E robot, only one is left. Wall E performs his duties like collecting and loading garbages.also he collects things such as the light bulb, Rubik cubes and rubber ducks that stores them in his house inside an inert Wall E robot. Wall E developed the personalities he loves musical Hello Dolly!. He also records music that he plays when he collects garbage. He has a pet and a cockroach.
The robots are perceived to have emotions and a sense of life. When the robot gets injured during his course of the film he is brought back by his robot love interest, Eve, to repair parts of the broken down parts. He acts robotic after he restarts. WALL E is defined by his individualism. He does not communicate to Eve and goes on with his programmed activity of trashing disposals. Therefore as he returns and he won’t let go of Eve’s hands this character mimics a lot of human character.
The implications of having responsive servants are ignored and the robots are unintentional due to their humanness. Wall E introduces himself to a couple of humans on the ship. Those humans kill other robots without concern this hence shows the humanness in robots. Wall E And Eve are very individual they move out of the ships and go away to go and do the things they care about. They follow their programmed directions.
Robots also show the marginalization of other robots that seem to act differently by not being fixated to their programmed role. The humanized robots are ignored rather than integrating them into society. Robotic robots have a higher degree of personality when they help Wall E and Eve in the mission (Murray, Heumann 11). The robotic robots are separation until the robot is secure.
The nature of being protective is also seen in robots, a common human trait. The bad guy in the movie is Auto because he does not want human ship to return to the earth. the robots and the human are the ones who make the return happen. he was ordered to do so after discovering the prevention of return cost thus he no longer fits on humans. This is pure that he has been following orders. It is now right to kill him because of various reasons and returning him is not morally wrong. Robots in the movie can achieve the goals of switching him off. His efforts of not returning the humans ship to the earth made him out to be responsible for his actions thus killing him is right. (Murray, Heumann 13).Auto is not characterized by how his death is played.
The whole movie captures satire in great depths by switching the character of robots to match that of the humans. Furthermore the movie emphasizes human laziness as the robot does everything for them. Technology has made people chubbier. This describes robots to be human that their body is atrophied. It also makes humans depict some robotic tendencies since they seem to be dependent on robots for even simple activities that they are capable of accomplishing. This makes the robots to be perceived as more alive than humans. Wall E is the satire these criticizes all these human laziness instead the movies emphasize that technology brings improvement to the human institution.
