As a child of a single mother

As a child of a single mother, I learned to take responsibility for my family that comprises of my mother at a very young age and me. Although my mother works very hard to support me in my education, she had not been able to cater to my next level in my education, having graduated from high school with good grades.  My mother has not been financially stable, and this has given me the zeal to work hard in school and get good grades that will qualify me to get a scholarship. Having gone through many struggles as a result of my mother status, this has also given me the desire to work extra hard in school since I believe that having been given this scholarship, I will be able to pursue my career to a higher level and be of help to my family and the community at large.

My mother has always pushed me to value education, and due to this, I have learned to take everything I do seriously and put in all of my effort to complete the task. Having been given this scholarship, I will put more effort and ensure that at the end of the course, I will present excellent results for you. I will commit myself fully to academics and maintain good manners in school. I will also ensure that I am a good ambassador of your initiative by being a good role model for my juniors.

I am passionate about my career, and I trust that having been given this opportunity, this will be a dream come true since I will be able to pursue my desire. In the future, I hope to attribute my success to your initiative since, with the help of this scholarship, I will be able to access more learning opportunities.
