The basic element in this poem is stereotypes. The poem also entails criticism, prejudgments and ignorance in the society. Stereotypes in this poem symbolize how the author was aggravated by the general ignorance of the society. The one who asks the Native American questions is dumb in a way and very curious to know more about the American. The poem has majored in stereotypical questions about culture, religion and heritage. The poem is more of both dialogue and monologue; however the conversation in the poem is very awkward.

It is a part of human nature to isolate the minority the other person in the poem is very prejudiced. He thinks that he knows the author based off one fact, that she is a Native American. The other person is very inquisitive and impolite to the other. This is clear shown in the following lines.

The author thinks that she knows what the other person in the poem is about to ask, therefore she answers before the release of the question. She is mad at explaining her ethnicity to people, therefore she starts mocking what the other person is saying and being sarcastic to him. She is irritated with this conversation since she has addressed the very same questions many times. This is illustrated in the following stanza.

The other person see them as an “Indian” and not just any other person
the author is tired of people showing up  like they have a connection with her, simply because they know someone of the same race. She is tired with people coming to her every time for something that their ancestors did to hers. The other person shows lack of sensitivity and ignorance on the author’s culture.

However, Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, chose not to sweep the negative press under the rug. Instead, he confronted it, and issued an apology. That is certainly a good move, one all company leaders can learn from.

In every person who is a CEO profession, he should always have to be free to the management and, clients and even to himself. He should feel the courage to face the control the clients and the other team members to say sorry for any mistake made and always feel free to listen to be corrected. There’s one basic way to start an apology, and that’s to write “SORRY” in capital letters before you say anything else. “We apologize for that. We should have done a better job in communicating what these policies mean and how any information you choose to share will and will not  be used,” he that’s also a good example of how a CEO phrase for apology should be. The CEO can also vow “we have heard your concerns loud and clear,”, “We’re listening to you and we take your concerns very seriously.” Such statements will always put the CEO’s and the entire fraternity in good terms and conditions. This will always create an enabling environment for employees, management and the clients.

In real sense, it is hard to get an apology right, but experts say it should always be unconditional. An apology should make no excuses and should have plenty of explanation. As a CEO when you identify a problem in your company or organization, first you should Make it personal, and recognize your role. Show that you take this seriously and that the buck stops at the top. It’s not just your company’s problem; it’s your problem too.  Be sincere, and demonstrate that you really care about the impact that this problem has had on your customers.”
