Meaning of Science
If we notice, then we see science is all around us. Science is a field of systematic study and investigation of natural phenomena and occurrences by way of observation, a theoretical explanation as well as experimentation. Right now, the method of reading this and the existence is also a science. The process of breath; the process of creating air, is also a science. The food we eat, the water we drink, the air we exhale and inhale, the clothes we wear, all are based on scientific facts. Science is one of the most important and exciting subjects of study in the world. The atmosphere around us, the astronomy is also another branch of science.
Branches of Science
There are three branches of science which we have explained below.
Physics
Physics is a study of laws and properties that govern the behavior of all matter. In physics, we can prove those things that we cannot see but feel it, such as gravity. We cannot see gravity, but because of many experiences, we know that it is there. It is the study of energy, mechanics, motion, waves, electricity, nuclear reactions, and forces.
Those who are interested in physics, they love to experiment and like to create new things daily like bridges, cars, buildings, and power plants with the help of scientific laws and theories. Albert Einstein is one of the most famous physicists who developed the theory of relativity, which is the basis for black holes and the potential for time travel, as well as how matter is converted to energy, which is used in nuclear power plants.
Chemistry
Chemistry is the branch of science in which chemical reactions and properties of matter studied. The principles in chemistry are based on what we know in physics. You can see it. Usually, science topics depend on each other, like a pyramid. Chemistry is the study of how atoms, the smallest particles of the world, bind together to create compounds. If we notice, then we depend on chemistry in our daily. For example, the hair products we use, cleaning products, even the packaged foods you eat are all based on chemistry. The scientists use chemical reactions in a lab to make a compound that smells like certain natural foods. One of the earliest discoveries was methyl anthranilate, a compound that smelled like grapes and was one of the primary ingredients in grape Kool-Aid.
Biology
Biology is the study of life, and the principles in chemistry form the foundation for it. Also, it is the study of cells called organelles to giant masses of land with specific climates called biomes. Biology has divided into three sub-topics. The study, which focuses only on an animal’s life, is known as Zoology. It includes so many other things, such as classification, the evolution of both extinct, and the existing structure and habits. Along with this, it deals with embryology, is the study of animals’ development of the embryo, from fertilization to fetus.
Another sub-category is botany in which plants and their life cycle studied. Including in this study are the plant’s diseases, reproduction, growth, chemical properties, structure, and relationship. Ecology is the third sub-category of biology in which the environment and its relationship to living organisms studied.
