Governmental Strategies

Introduction

Citizens of a prosperous, democratic country have to partake in the economic, legal, and political processes of the state through participation and inclusion of civil societies. This is the ideological perception that I have brought into the government after being elected as the President of this nation. Before my election, the country had faced numerous atrocities that created divisions resulting in crumbling of economic, political, and defense structures. A comprehensive governing structure for the new government is, therefore, essential. This paper aims at providing details on the governing principles and styles, various arms of the government, and their respective functions. Besides, the paper will address the economic structures that will be enacted by the government to provide essential benefits to the citizens and foreign investors. Finally, a mechanism of creating national unity and combating with internal and external security threats will be provided.

Domestic Concerns

Style and principles of the new government

The new government will use a democratic-participative governing style that incorporates the opinions and views of the citizens in making final decisions (Amanchukwu et al., 2015). The government will comprise of strategic leaders who will form an intersection between the significant economic and political operations and growth opportunities. With the inclusivity of all the citizens regardless of their personalities and backgrounds, it’s projected that the country will improve in productivity and citizens’ satisfaction, ensuring that sovereignty will remain with the ordinary citizen. All the government institutions will be required to have exercised a politically equal act that will reflect the upward democratic control and social equality.

Government branches

A new constitution will be enacted, structuring the new government with various powers and procedures (Benjamin et al., 2019). The government will be separated into three branches, namely: executive, judiciary, and the legislature. The executive will have the political mandate to conduct the daily state management, ensuring that the law and orders are enforced and maintained. The judiciary branch will have the mandate of interpreting the laws based on the constitution and providing legal directions to the other two branches of the government. The legislative branch will have the mandate of reviewing and amending the constitution to improve it and making essential laws to govern the country. All three branches will be provided with powers under the constitution to influence and participate in the decision-making process of each other, ensuring there is a power balance (Benjamin et al., 2019).

Domestic programs

Public good domestic programs will be essential in the new government to ensure mutual satisfaction and engagement of all the citizens. A rigorous expansion on this idea is that the incentives offered will non-excludable and beneficial to all and non-rivalrous in that it will be enjoyed by all people equally (Magstadt, 2017). Two of the most important public good domestic programs that will be offered by the government include a universal medical subsidy and social security program. The two domestic programs will ensure that the public will be able to (acquire get medical care at low costs and they will be in a position to get funds and income support for the conduction of critical economic activities. Other domestic programs of importance that will be provided by the government include crop and flood insurances, supplemental nutrition, free elementary education, and disability insurance.

Economic structure

The government will adopt a mixed economic structure that will form a combination of both markets oriented and command economy structures (Schoeni, 1996). Although the government will have control over ownership of sensitive industries such as the defense and regulation of private enterprises, it will incorporate essential policies of capitalism and socialists. This economic structure will ensure that private businesses will have capacities of running efficiently and cutting down high governmental entity costs. On the other hand, the government will be able to regulate business breaking up market monopolization and restricting the entry of harmful products.

Social and national unity creation

One of the most critical social citizenship inclusivity involves continuous public discourse negotiations. This ensures that essential core rights, responsibilities, and principles of the citizens are provided based on the agenda framework. The government will ensure that the plan implemented will remain an open issue integrating new ideas and challenges that are relevant and the key to their improvement, ensuring that they are beneficial to all people regardless of their backgrounds.

Ways of combating neighbor threats

The country will implement counter-terrorism strategies to combat foreign threats through the advancement of intelligence systems and public awareness creation (Gates, 2009).

Their effectiveness

Security intelligence teams will ensure faster detection and neutralization of possible threats within and outside the country’s border, according to the law (Gates, 2009). They will conduct forensic investigations that will lead to apprehension and punishment of the offenders according to the law. On the other hand, public awareness will ensure that people are enlightened to embrace cohesion that will protect one another (Gates, 2009). Besides, the public will be encouraged to believe in themselves and report suspected security threat cases.

Conclusion

The country has faced immense hostility for an extended period from the previous dictatorial government that had crumbled the state economy. Besides, the security of the country was in shambles, making the citizens undergo traumatic experiences. However, the new government has fostered to revive these conditions and improve the country both security-wise and economically.  The new government will employ strategic democratic styles that will ensure the inclusivity of all the public members for beneficial progress.
