Introduction

I am a very supportive individual who works collaboratively and efficiently with others. I am attentive, a good listener, and sensitive to other people and their opinions. I am often highly imaginative when innovative ideas are needed and can quickly come up with solutions to different problems that require high levels of creativity. I know how to approach challenges and opportunities with keenness and creativity, especially in competitive environments that require one to showcase their strengths and skills. In such situations, I like being the best and taking the lead in providing solutions and directions to my team. Therefore, I am highly competitive and productive and have the ability to come up with the best solutions, carefully thought, and selected from a list of numerous possible options. I am usually guided by values of integrity, handwork, team spirit, and transparency as I embark on assigned duties.

Moreover, I am often driven by organizational and personal visions and focus both on my goals, and that of the firm as I do my best to meet each. I like following set processes to work within a set of rules but am also open to being creative in terms of finding the best way of doing things and achieving desired results in time. Besides being a team player, I value and like relationships, both personal and work relationships. These relationships make it possible for me to consult with my colleagues during challenging situations. I also find essential advice from personal relationships about how to solve different life challenges, which can affect my performance at work. I am also a very creative and motivated individual who uses sound judgment as I undertake different work responsibilities. I often work towards my personal and colleagues’ prosperity, stability, and freedom. I am not afraid to take risks at work and to try those options that have not been used before in finding solutions to the problems faced at work.

Problems or processes in my personal or professional life related to innovation

I occasionally experience challenges when developing novel critical solutions. This problem happens when problems that have never been experienced before at work. To solve this problem, I usually ask for help from my colleagues and members of my team so that we can brainstorm and attempt to find the most desirable or novel solution to the problem. To develop the novel solutions, we look for facts or evidence from different peer-reviewed literature and from professionals who are experienced in the field, to get the best hands and skills on board. By working as a team and taking the lead in delivering results, I am often considered an invaluable talent at the workplace, an expert who knows how to optimize systems to find excellent solutions and create good working relationships.

By attending training to learn how to look at the importance and role of innovation from all aspects, including a) how to be more competitive as a leader.

1. b) how to analyze and understand my core strengths concerning product designing and development, creating concept ideas, offering the best services and coming up with a value or price for my skills and services and,
2. c) how to increase my connectedness with my colleagues and customers

I plan to achieve this goal in a period of six months from March 2020 to August 2020.

To further strengthen my core abilities

I will focus on working at improving my best strengths like leadership qualities, ability to work with others, and my professional skills, that is, improve my interpersonal and technical abilities. This will help build my ideas, thereby standing out as a skilled professional who comes up with the best novel innovative ideas. I will do this by attending leadership training programs and do further research on how to improve my innovative abilities. I will also continue interacting with highly skilled professionals to learn from them how to solve different challenges and how to come up with the best ideas at the workplace for developing quality products and services.

This will take place in a period of three months, March to August 2020.

To better understand the innovation process

This will help me understand how to create or establish an innovative culture through regular brainstorming, consistent approval stages, diligence, and oversight on my decisions. This will also help me understand how to identify fresh or new opportunities by observing market trends or consumer behaviors and generating ideas continuously to meet the trends and behaviors. I will also learn how to create different innovation pipelines by creating potential concepts and innovation schedules and how to implement my innovation ideas.

This will also take part within a period of three months, from August to October 2020.

Conclusion

By understanding my personal strengths and developing a personal innovation plan, I can separate essential skills that make me stand out. I can also perceive the challenges I faced, how they were solved, and how to tackle them better in the future. I am also able to plan on how to improve my innovation skills and abilities to be better prepared to develop innovative concepts in the future.
