The People’s Republic of China has a government that applies the parliamentary system since the nation’s central principle is made by the party in power, the Communist Government of China. The ruling party works with other branches of government, including the military, the head of state, the organ of state power, and others (Conover, 1989). The legislative branch of the government of China consists of the National People’s Congress, whose role is to make policies and mediate discussions. The parliament has the power to elect the Premier of the State Council, the President, Vice President, and the members of the Standing Committee. The political culture of China dwells in Communism, where the ruling party controls the economy of the country. On the same note, the primary political institutions in the country include the State Council, the State Central Military Commission, the Supreme People’s Court, and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (Li, 2009). The current Chinese government system is useful in providing for the needs of citizens since the country has reported immense economic growth in recent decades (Li, 2009). On the same note, the quality of life among Chinese people has improved immensely courtesy of the current government.
