Emergent Writing Rubric
Emergent writing is basically the initial attempt by young children, especially of two years old to master the writing process (Guo et al., 2018). These children typically start by imitating the process of writing through the creation of symbolic markings as well as creating drawings that represent their ideas and thoughts. Emergent writing can be regarded as the initial stages that younger children do progress through as they master to write (Guo et al., 2018). Notably, the emergent writing skills, for instance, the development of visual writing, and name writing proficiency, are such significant predictors of young children future writing as well as reading skills (Gillanders et al., 2017). teachers are very useful more so in the development of young children (2 to 5 years old) emergent writing by motivating them to record their ideas and also communicate their thoughts as well (Gillanders et al., 2017). Thus, this particular paper will precisely create an emergent writing rubric which is in details in order to be used effectively in the kindergarten as demonstrated below.
