Impossible Foods Turns to OSI Foods, the McDonalds Supplier to Expand the Impossible Burger Production
The leading manufacturer of plant-based burgers, Impossible Foods, has been struggling to meet the growing demand for a while now. Recently, the company went into a production partnership with OSI Group, a veteran food production company based in Chicago. This food company is among the top largest food producers in the world. The company has been supplying food to top global food retailers like McDonalds, Burger King, and White Castle for years now.

The Impossible Foods management pointed out while making this announcement that they had worked together with this veteran food producer to set up equipment for the production of their Impossible Burger. OSI Group has more than 65 food-producing plants in 17 countries across the globe. Impossible Foods management mentioned that the company was looking to set up equipment for its meat-free burgers in all the facilities in the 17 countries.
As the demand for plant-based burgers keeps rising, Impossible Foods pointed out that it was planning to take the Impossible Burger global. In this endeavor, the availability of OSI’s processing plants around the world would be very crucial. The Chicago based global food producer mentioned that they were committed to having a fruitful partnership with Impossible Foods and help them reach their goals.
Outshining the competition
In the promising plant-based meat market, the biggest competitor to Impossible Foods is Beyond Meat. The Impossible Burgers is counting on its partnership with this McDonalds food supplier to outshine its competition. Recently, Beyond Meat had a record-breaking IPO that’s has propelled the company at the top of the industry. This company, which is based in California, has had its share price rise by 700% since its IPO. Additionally, the success of the company has increased the consumer and investor interest in it.
Armed with OSI Group backing, Impossible Foods hopes to beat Beyond Meat in the plant-based burger market and become the top brand. The biggest challenge for Impossible Foods so far has been meeting the growing demand.
