Impossible Foods Partners with McDonalds Supplier to Make Impossible Burgers

Plant-based burgers are the face of the global food revolution that is currently ongoing. Impossible Foods, one of the two biggest producers of meat-free burgers, has been struggling to meet demand over the last couple of months thanks to the rapidly growing market. But it seems like it will be a thing of the past soon as the company just entered into a production partnership with the McDonalds food supplier, OSI Group. In this partnership, the two companies will work together to meet the growing demand for Impossible Burgers.

Rising to the demand

Dennis Woodside, the president of Impossible Foods, mentioned that when his company started, it wasn’t prepared for the great reception it has had in the market. This is the primary reason why they have been unable to meet the increasing demand. He pointed out that their partnership with OSI Group, which has its headquarters in Chicago, is not only to meet the growing demand but also to be sustainable for future prosperity.

OSI Group is one of the most reputable food suppliers globally, and they have built a name for themselves thanks to their top-quality products. This company has over 65 food processing plants located in 17 countries worldwide. The processing plants are in Asia-Pacific, Eastern and Western Europe, and North America. Impossible Foods hopes that it can take advantage of this global network to take its plant-based burgers global.

Moving to the top of the market

Besides taking the Impossible Burger Global, Dennis Woodside pointed out that he hoped that the partnership deal with the McDonalds supplier would help his company move to the top of the market. The company’s biggest competitor in the meatless burger market is Beyond Meat, which recently launched a successful IPO. Following the IPO, Beyond Meat’s share price grew by over 700% as a result of increased consumer and investor interest.

Impossible Foods is taking a different approach to success, and it hopes that the Chicago based food producer, OSI Group will be their rise to success. At the moment, the plant-based burger market is well-established only in the U.S. Impossible Foods hopes to reach the top by introducing the world to the new healthy burgers.
