A brief introduction to my country Saudi Arabia and Mexico

Both Saudi Arabia and Mexico have diplomatic relations. Both countries are members of the United Nations and G-20 major economies. Both countries have entered into trade agreements like the Memorandum of Understanding of Cooperation. These bilateral agreements are to abolish double_ taxation and cooperation in tourism and the Memorandum of Understanding in Cooperation the Gas and Oil departments and they also have an Agreement of Cooperation to combat organized Crime (Bode 2015).

The main thing in language, climate, and population;

Arabic is the most spoken language in Saudi Arabia though English is also taught as a second language. Arabic is my first language that we widely use in our country, so traveling to Mexico, where they speak Spanish by a majority of the population, will require me to learn Spanish. To communicate effectively to my team, whom I will be leading as the General Manager Spanish is what I have to learn; this will help me cope with their culture (Wright 2014).

The population of Saudi Arabia is estimated to be about 27 million, with nearly 8 million being the international community working in the oil sector. In comparison, Mexico is more populated than Saudi Arabia. The population of Mexico is estimated to be 128,438,525. This means their community is ten times more than ours. This is another challenge that I will be expected to cope with my family. Mexico has the highest Spanish speaking people. Mexico having the most senior populations, indicates that it has the largest ethnic groups, so I have to learn the culture to associate and learn how to cope with a broader community than ours of Saudi Arabia. In Mexico, a population of about 95% is Christians who are Roman Catholic. Christianity is the dominant religion occupying the country of Mexico. I am coming from Saudi Arabia, where Muslim is the dominant population the way to cope up is to keep my faith as Muslim. I have to relate well with Christians. I will meet in Mexico, but I and with my family, we shall be worshipping in our house in our religion as Muslims (Jiménez et al. 2014).

Mexico is experiencing a tropical climate with both rainy and dry seasons. The average temperature of Mexico is ranging between 50F and 90F during the year. While Saudi Arabia is a desert country, t rainfall they receive deficient and seasonal rain annually. Arabia mostly experiences winter from December to February. The difference between Mexico and Saudi Arabia is mainly religion. Mexico Christianity is the largest religion, while in Saudi Arabia, Islamic is the dominant religion. The other difference is climate Mexico does not have a desert climate as opposed to Saudi Arabia that the land is desert all over the country.

According to Jiménez et al. (2014), Mexico is a committed country that has tried to eliminate racism. The only racism that People from Saudi Arabia can encounter while in Mexico is discrimination, mainly based on religion. Coming from an Islamic state, I will be forced to learn the culture of Mexicans and cope with there way of life and find a conducive working environment was General Manager. The only way to overcome racism is to obey their culture and make friends with Mexicans. Mexico has the highest rate of crime, especially murder than Saudi Arabia. According to the report released by the Secretariat of public security shows that 34, 580 deaths took place in 2019; this is so high compared to Saudi Arabia with influential Islamic culture they observe the law, which has kept the crime rate in Saudi Arabia very low. To cope with this challenge, my family and I will see the culture of our country and stick to the law of Mexico to avoid getting into crime. Mexico has enacted laws and set penalties to punish lawbreakers. They have set fines up to $15,000, 000 to those who violate the law. Respecting their laws and adhering to established rules of Mexico will help me stay in Mexico peaceful without getting any trouble.

In Mexico, the healthcare system is very affordable, mostly to those individuals with insurance cover. The services offered in hospitals in Mexico are available at a cost depending on the medical plan of health insurance. In many Mexican towns, those seeking medical treatment can access excellent medical care even to those severe diseases. Insurance caters for both critical and less acute sickness as the patients can pay using their insurance cards. There is a social health security program that covers employees in both the private and public sectors. Those working in Mexican companies have direct medical cover under the Mexican Social Security Institute. Once in Mexico, my family and I will get registered to health insurance that will help us in case of sickness. In a place where my members of the family will not be employed, they will enroll in the ministry of health that takes measures by providing a sustainable system to unemployed citizens (Bode 2015).

The people of Mexico highly value their culture. Their culture is a composite of influences handed down by countless civilizations. Many rural societies maintain strong allegiances to regions, mostly known as patrias. A large number of indigenous customs and languages in these areas, mainly in the south, naturally accentuate cultural differences. Tourism in Mexico is an essential industry. Mexico is among the most visited countries in the world; it has a significant number of UNESCO World Heritage sites with the list, including colonial cities, nature reserves, and ancient ruins. Mexico has attracted foreign visitors; it has a unique temperature climate and unique culture. Working in Mexico will enable me to visit and enjoy their environment and its tourist sites. Working in Mexico is advantageous, especially to public registered workers under the Mexican Institute for Social Security as workers. They get excellent employed benefits such as a good salary, and they get paid for protections in health care. The working environment is conducive. My transfer to Mexico as a general manager will be of importance to me as I will get job security in health insurance.

Conclusion

Getting a transfer to work in Mexico will require me to come up with their cultural norms, mainly religion, culture, and language. It will be essential for me to learn their Spanish language for secure communication with the employees.  Despite being a Muslim, I will have to learn the culture of Christians as the majority of Mexico’s population are Christians. Learning their culture is vital as it will enable me to cope with other employees.  I will stick to my religion, mainly not to eat pork, which is not acceptable to my belief. In terms of food, I will need to learn to take some of their dishes like Elote, Tamales, and pozole as this will enable me to cope with their meals, which are mostly from corn.
