Global terrorism
Terrorism is the use of deliberate violence for political or religious purposes or the illegal violence and terrorization commonly against citizens in the quest for political claims.
Global terrorism could be stopped if because it not a natural thing if all the countries practiced clean and best politics without discriminating against other people. Countries in the whole world need to observe, respect, and help diverse beliefs to prevent the formation of these terrorist groups, which are based on religions.Stopping terrorism requires undertaking various measures, such as improving border controls. Systematic checks on each country’s external borders on all people getting into the country will reduce the rotation of the terrorists (de Roy van Zuijdewijn, 2019). To prevent terrorists from circulating quickly within different continents or countries, implementing controls at their borders have to be enhanced. Securing external borders is another measure.
The United States has an average of 65,000 troops in the Middle East and has the intention of adding more troops in the Region amidst the sensitive pressures. Withdrawing its forces won’t curb terrorism, though it will create a chance for the significant terrorists present in the Middle East to regroup and reorganize. The United States offers strict and best approaches to combat terrorism through its highly skilled military, its financial support, best military tools, advanced technology, and intelligence.
Apart from using the military as the only way to eradicate terrorism, other approaches can be used to control it. Dialogue may be used between the parties involved and come up with a solution. Another measure is to make use of air passenger data where the airlines operating flights to and from a country or continent is supposed to produce to national authorities the passenger’s data such as travel dates, itinerary, names and method of payment. The Passenger Name Record (PNR) is used to detect, prevent, investigate, and prosecute serious crimes and terrorist offenses. Preventing radicalization and reducing access to dangerous weapons is another measure to fight global terrorism.
