Don’t Look Back in Anger

This is a song written and performed by Oasis. Despite having numerous themes like love, broken heart, innocence, regrets, and betrayal of one lady named Sally, Sally becomes the victim of all at most of all the acts revolving around this strange love game. She still has hopes that he will come back and reconcile with her boyfriend, so sad a vision that will never come to pass. It has taken so long, and she is now grieved with anger. In verse one, the singer seems to be giving her a bit of advice on the line that goes, “don’t you know you might find / a better place to play

Towards the end of the song, Sally finally sees his ex-boyfriend steps in with another woman as the singer again advises her not to look back in anger. “But don’t look back in anger; don’t look back in anger” (“Oasis – Don’t Look Back in Anger”).

“The Great Day of His Wrath” (1851)

The drawing can be attributed to John Martin, one of the best English artists of his generation. According to the deputy keeper of the British museum department of drawing and paintings, Frances Cayes said the picture depicted the destruction of the city of Babylon together with the mundane world, a calamity caused by a natural cataclysm. However, the painting has been translated differently by many critics. Most recognized is William Feaver, who is known to be one of the famous art critics, Feaver believed that the painting depicted the collapse of the city of Edinburgh in Scotland (Carey267). He added that Arthur’s Seat, Calton Hill, and Castle Rock also falls in the valley between them.

A Poison Tree

Written by William Blake, the poem carries a lot of potent messages that have relevance even in the modern world as far as anger and bitterness still rule over human decisions (Blake 158) Managing anger has become one of the biggest problems. Blake has just nailed it with his articulate and antithetical logic for letting go of bad energy that dictates our decisions, doing it with a strong emphasis on the self numerous times, he courageously propose that people should take management of harmful anger personal and faster before it takes control. The consequence may be dangerous.
