Art bringing out people’s imaginations
I must agree with Jordan that art brings out people’s imaginations and issues of life in a way no other means of communication can. The most thing that struck me with his listicle is the way art brings out the human aspect of human beings. We are created with a superior brain that can imagine things, unlike other animals. The human mind can visualize the wildest things on earth, and it is through art that most of the people can unravel their imaginations which may result to amazing things like a song, dance (Bates). Some fantasies do not make sense, but when released, it amazing how they bring satisfaction while still communicating a thing or two.
Having said this, it brings me to a time while in grade 9 that I kept visualizing myself as a Spiderman. At first, I thought it was as a result of the many cartoons I have watched since childhood and my obsession for the Spiderman. One day during a Sunday school class, our Sunday school teacher asked us who has a play in mind, and I raised my mind. I suggested spider man and everyone was bursting with laughter. He asked me to come prepared the next Sunday to act for them as the Spiderman. It was such a big thing for me. I looked for a Spiderman’s like garment and rehearsed some antics. It was so amazing that everybody was laughing and clapping at the same time. From this time comedy was born in me and I have never turned back since then.
I want to echo the words of Bates and say among all other importance of art; nothing can beat the inner satisfaction it brings. It is both crucial for the soul and makes the world a better place to live.
