Women have suffered various injustices and exposed to the consequences of inequality in the world for along time. It is worth associating the enlightenment period with the struggles that women went through in the universe. They had to publish materials to address various issues in the world and a further attempt to reveal their capacities. However, it is correct to indicate that women were forced to get permission from men during the enlightenment period to publish such articles. The industrial revolution brought out substantial effects on gender discrimination in the world. Employment opportunities were reserved for men, and women had the responsibilities and roles of caring at their homes. They were denied the right to participate in propelling the industrial revolution despite having similar capacities as those contained by men. Therefore, World War I was a significant success for women in their struggle to achieve equality in the men dominated society. Men participated in the war, and thus, women were required to work in the positions men worked. Hence, they proved their abilities through maintaining the economic status of states and further engaging in activities that propelled their countries in the war.
