An Analysis of the Interpersonal Challenge

The challenges that I have so far taken up have proven to be exceptionally true due to the accuracy that has been attached to the various prediction test scores that I garnered. According to the score interpretation, Iam a capable communicator that sometimes experiences communication problems. I believe that this is a close to true description of my everyday personality as is exemplified by my inability to interact with those that I find unfamiliar to me. While I am an entirely different chatty person around a common crowd, engagement with people that I do not interact with a regular basis is a bit challenging. Apart from accounting for my inabilities, the test puts into considerationmy abilities in communication search as attention to other people’s perspectives, and explanation of complex issues. Notably, I have made great improvements from my first challenge especially in respect of the suggestions that were made at the end of the test score explanation.

Upon analysis of my interpersonal communication skills, I have identified areas of weakness that I have to work on developing further.  For instance, the results are also derived from the indication that I struggle to be understood, in some contexts, and it baffles me and I tend to try and find out their reasons. To make sure that this does not occur, my encoding and decoding processes have to improve. Noteworthy, the encoding process is important in the enunciation of issues in every communicative interaction. As suggested by the test, the first step is the understanding of what I want to say first before blurting out incoherent sentences that end up becoming unintelligellible and lack a patterned flow of ideas. Once what is to be communicated is established, the next point I am to check on is the anticipation of the respondents’ reaction which helps in the framing of words in amanner that a knowledgeable audience can understand.  I am also working on the coordination of my facial expression, and body language to take into account how the other person deciphers what I am saying in its right context. For instance, the maintenance of eye contact to symbolize active listening to the person that is speaking.Apart from the above highlighted issues, structuring and construction of language is part of the areas that I strive to improve on to ensure that my interpersonal communication skills are effective..

Overall, thesurvey is instrumental in the identification of necessary skills that are to be put into play in my personal life experiences.  The side notes that are given at the end of the test scores area definite lifesaver as they allow for comprehension of both mistakes and the way forward. Furthermore, the test scores are drawn from the various answers that I have given in the presented cases and compound them in an analysis of my communication skills.  Additionally the statements allow for a broad spectrum of analyzing communication but still confines the answers within the range of “Not at All”, to “Very Often” thus limiting an expression of ideas. Subsequently, an addition is to encompass a further allowance of expression of ideas. In my opinion, the several challenges are collectively educative and provide practical skills for interpersonal communication improvement.
