I would rate the website a nine on a scale of one to ten because I feel it has adhered to the standards of a qualified website. I observed that Amore Pacific website applied the factors mentioned above in their web design to enhance visual appeal amongst its buyers. I also noticed that the website used different categories to place its content. For example, the products category is; best-selling, new arrivals, and hot picks, which attracts customers and provides access to their product of choice effortlessly. The content from the website is informative and displayed from essential information to the least necessary to meet the buyer’s eye. Consequently, I spotted a pop-up notice at the top of the page that informed buyers about the Goodbye Sale Event, which informs users about Amore Pacific’s decision to exit the global market. The website also standard because consumers can easily shop due to the consistency in the layouts of the menu and fast loading pages, therefore making it easy to access information about the available product and how to purchase these products. Finally, I believe that for a Korean based company, Amore Pacific Website uses the right wordings to describe their product, especially in English. However, I rated them a nine because I felt some of the words used, such as a shopping bag was unconventional and might confuse the buyers.
In response to Jorge Fortin, I disagree with the fact that the website is not appealing because the images and the graphics on the website are self-explanatory and have placed against a white background, which creates a feeling of simplicity and harmony to increase usability. Additionally, the website has provided adequate content, and it has also grouped them into meaningful categories that help users to navigate the website. Nevertheless, the information provided by the website about Global APP Mall closing was consistently communicated through the Notice menu and offered a reasonable timeline while informing buyers about Amore Pacific’s decision. Hence, the information vouches for the website’s consistency and transparency in business.
I support that the web page is very standard and ordinary because nothing about it is hard to decipher. Indeed the design used is simple and clear, judging from the price layout from which a buyer would tell the prices and discounts of each item.
