If a child is sexually misused, he is affected physically, psychologically, and emotionally and this ends up affecting him together with his family members. In the case of Brandon, when his father sexually misuses him, it leads to her mother being affected; they both suffer mentally, physically, and psychologically. Some experts can recognize the problem these people may have experienced, and they respond to the case; accordingly, the victims and the family are ready to be helped. They use the skills to get the information from the victim, as in the case of Brandon, the social worker was able to get the information from him.

Brandon had shown signs of being sexually misused, and he was aggressive, unable to follow school rules as well as at home, he used to use inappropriate language, especially when addressing female peers. This made his mother realize the boy had psychological problems. The boy felt unsafe, and he was feeling that he was physically hazardous to an extend of sleeping with a loaded BB gun to prevent anyone from assaulting him.

The social-ecological factors could is for understanding  Brandon’s behavior as well as offer guidance to the affected parties so that they can offer a successful program so that the patient is secure from the traumatic situation. This model influences individuals, organizational, public policy, community, and interpersonal (Solvang et al., 2017). The model can shape the character of the person in a social concept. Brandon was unsocial, this is seen by the fact that they liked fighting with the other student, and this was corrected using this model. Brandon was to undergo this model since it would have improved his social life and could stop him from bullying others. It could have helped stop fearing and stop sleeping with a gun.

Macro social acts as advocates for the abused persons; they usually influence the public on the policy observation; they conduct research, they also work with the government agencies, they organize activities, supporting legislation and lastly drafting petitions. The Macro could have researched on the effect that the sexual abuse could have cause to Brandon. The research could be on the impact the sexual harassment had cause Brandon including making his afraid to the extent of sleeping with a gun to make sure no one attacks at night to harass him sexually.

Mezzo level doesn’t only focus on an individual level, it has dealt with large groups, and the professionals require a higher skill than those of Macro and micro. They focus on the ability to make the victim speak themselves out, especially those who are experiencing trauma, as in the case of Brandon, he was experiencing trauma. His mother took him to the trauma-focusing treatment when he had started to destroy properties in the house as well as argumentative behaviors. Still, according to her mother, she would think the response was adapted from his boyfriend since Brandon used to use inappropriate language when addressing a female friend but never used to understand what he was saying. His mother worried that her son was to become a sexual offender, and she suspected that his son might be having sexual behavior issues. Mezzo level was used in addressing Brandon’s case when the social worker used the skills to make Brandon explain what could be the cause of the insecurity, and he told that his father sexually misused him. The Mezzo level was used by the homeworker to address the case of Brandon when the workers were able to council both Brandon and her mother (Niskanen et al.,2017).

Micro usually conducts counseling family as well as individuals, and the skills are to make people navigate resources by use of Medicare when the client might have encountered distress or crisis such as domestic abuse like in the case of Brandon.  Brandon was misused by his father sexually, and he had PTSD (Wijk et al., 2019). The boy felt distressed; he wished he had a night of better sleep, wanted he was less worried, and he could fight less, and his mother used to insist on the treatment since his son was becoming worse each day. After the boy underwent cognitive therapy, he became open and shared his story on sexual history and all he experienced in his life, including his educational life.

The worker was supposed to understand what was happening to Brandon in the school, including a lack of participation in school activities. The worker could have used the skills he had learned to know that Brandon was sexually abused; he did not just have a mental condition. The worker was supposed to have a creative personality so that he could have identified the problem the boy had, but he took the wrong method of first taking the therapy. With the skills, he could be able to know the issues that Brandon had and be able to solve before he told him.
