Globalization is the process of expanding the operations and services of a company form the home market to international boundaries. Many companies in the current day use globalization for expansion of their demands which increase their sales, influence and profits earned. Cola is among the successful companies that have utilized this strategy to promote the growth of the company to an international level and succeed in the competition. Coca-cola is the flagship globalization has helped the company to lead in the sales of the non-beverage drinks. The company, therefore, implements several strategies to increase the sales of its products outside the United States of America. In a normal market, there are many challenges, especially when it comes to selling and operating internationally across the leadership of the company and the integration of the objectives in the branches around the world. There are hence many challenges in globalizing a company and yet retaining the strength to overcome the competition in the market. The financial stability of the company is, however, a significant advantage because it makes it easier to implement effective global sustainability.

The company focuses the markets in the world that have the highest probabilities of integrating with its operations and providing a wide operational base. The company focuses on countries that are underdeveloped or have been through hostilities like war because it is easy to penetrate in these markets and get the attention of the markets. However, globalization started in Coca-Cola by establishing branching in influential countries in the world like Europe, Australia and South Africa. This helped the brand to be known by many people around the world, giving it a good reputation and making it easier to enter in the third world country and dominating in the on-alcoholic beverage. With endorsement and support from international events like the Olympics, Fifa and even the world war, the consumption of this drink increased worldwide besides the fan base. In the 21st century, the country the company’s products were involved in social issues which introduced a different type of marketing internationally. With the provision of help in self relief in an earthquake, terrorist attacks and UN AIDS initiative besides other philanthropic ventures and sponsorships win NBA and television shows. This was an effective marketing strategy globally which gave it a better reputation, thus influencing many customers around the world to choose their product.

Coca-Cola undertook many strategies to make penetration in the global markets possible and excel in competition compared to its competitors like Pepsi. It is obvious they were many challenges all through, but the initiatives of the company and effective management strategy facilitated the global objectives. The financial ability of the company due to the large sales made in the world continued to give it the capacity and influence in all the new countries they expanded their brand. The operations of the company are undertaken effectively because the working team around the world is paid well; there is enough capital to invest in marketing and establishment of new working bases.
