Unwanted puppy got chances of survival with the help of Turney family and Dylan
Gracie, a cute little dog with birth defects, was dumped by her owner. As she did not have her front leg, she faced a bad start in her life. But she managed to make her way to a vet office where she received some help. Without hair around her eyes, she refused to give up on life and, therefore, managed to survive.
Following this, the cute little puppy was adopted by Turney’s family, who has an animal shelter. The family was familiar with raising disabled dogs as they have one paralyzed dog and then came Gracie with a missing leg.
After the family adopted Gracie, they were concerned about how to improve the health condition of the dog. Though she was growing rapidly but not fit to move with a wheelchair. Thus, it needed an easy solution so that it becomes easy for Gracie to move around.
At this time, Dylan, a 12 years old boy, made a makeshift wheelchair with legos. The wheelchair was cheap, and it could be easily adjusted with the growing nature of the puppy. Though it took two weeks for Gracie to get used to using the wheelchair, soon she became used to it and moved around with ease.
With little practice, she started to move and run in the wheelchair. As the puppy started to grow in size, the little boy added bigger wheels in the wheelchair to make it easy for Gracie to move. After she became old, she was suitable for an adult wheelchair.
So, with the suitable help of owners and little Dylan, Gracie was able to lead a healthy life, and she was happy in the Turney family.
