Application of theory
Self-awareness if founded on an understanding of our strengths, vulnerabilities, and limits, how we collect and interpret information, how we deal with situations that are confusing and stressful and how we are presumed by and socialize with others. Self-confidence is linked to management effectiveness and leadership. In leading entities, it is a vital asset for two main reasons. First of all, self-knowledge is the basis for behaviors and competencies such as targeting, effective communication, listening, motivation, and management of stress and time. We improve our understanding of ourselves by developing skills such as listening and stress management. Second, the diagnosis of points of contention, choosing the best appropriate strategies, and the management of social relations and conflicts requires a strong sense of one’s basic desires and tendencies. It’s hard to be a good manager without self-consciousness and self-knowledge because you do not know where you are excelling or where you don’t, or where you need help.
Relevance to self
Understanding self-awareness showed me my shortcomings as a manager and leader. This is a good indication of why self-awareness is a valuable tool since it opens up a new way of communication, where you understand the actions and reactions of the staff better than before. Effective managers know their styles and strengths and use their knowledge to empower, convince, and guide.

Application in practical terms
I intend to work on my shortcomings and utilize the four strategies of increasing self-awareness to improve my relationship with the staff. Nevertheless, I need to make a more thorough analysis of my character and personality. I want to keep improving my emotional intelligence in all matters of success. I could have a little off my psychological balance, but I have more weight in my willingness to study, correct, and develop. I don’t command my emotional responses well, by letting anger dominate my reasoning and conduct, and it cost me a lot.
Importance to leadership
With greater self-confidence and the consequent growing sense of their strengths, faults, and hidden preconditions, leaders gain the validity of their team members. A culture of self-consciousness also promotes learning and development (L&D) by supporting the significance of consistent development and growth. If you are aware of yourself as a leader, you can put your stress on the table, and nobody is hurt because we try to improve. Besides assisting leaders professionally develop, self-awareness also contributes to positive business impacts for a manager. Firstly, self-conscious teams are less susceptible to internal conflicts. Finally, a culture of self-awareness creates an area in which people can deal more openly and on a less frictional basis with their tensions.
