The company already has internet cables and a few of the chairs that will minimize the cost of the requirements. The equipment is necessary because the business cannot operate without them, especially computers, printers, photocopiers, and laminators. The business will buy Dell models of desktop computers due to their effectiveness in operation.

The building facility also is equipped with a power supply that ensures that all the equipment operates using the source of energy. London City also has fast network coverage where the company would choose a Local Area Network (LAN) that is an appropriate internet service provider.

Space Layout

The space of the facility will accommodate all the required startup businesses. The business premise has a small restaurant inside that makes the business appropriate for customers. The computer station area will host computers, printers, laminators, and photocopiers. The area will be the place where all the services are offered. The service area is where the computer network is monitored, and also customer service desk is located. Fastnet will use the storage area for inventory items, including photocopying papers.

Logistics

Fastnet Cybercafé will not need complex buying and ordering systems in the initial stages of business because the operations are still manageable. A purchase order system is sourced, and the cost is $11 per month, and it ensures the products are ordered and delivered on the required time. The suppliers are sourced locally, especially the printing papers and other items, because cyber café requires minimal suppliers for its operations. The suppliers are stored in the storage cabinet that is well organized for ease during retrieval. The store will order for the suppliers in bulk, and the appropriate transport charges are $200 per month. Fastnet cybercafé will buy a telephone for the office activities and also communicate with the suppliers. The cost of purchasing the telephone is $80, and it ensures communication internally, and even external is promoted (Best Buy, 2020). Fastnet will offer internet and software solutions, and being an IT expert, I will develop a great website for the business that will handle the cases of the business clients where the fee for hosting the website is $750. The website will ensure that the clients receive information about discounts and also update them on new services that will be offered. The website also is a marketing and communication tool that will provide potential customers with information about the business, its location, and the opening hours.

Fastnet Cyber Café will focus on meeting customer needs and ensure they are satisfied. The best way that the objective will be achieved is through training the employees on customer interaction.

Fastnet customers will be received in the reception by the receptionist, where they specify the service they need. Then the receptionist directs them to the section where the service is offered. The employee on the internet or photocopying section will help the client with services, and the client will finally pay for the services in the finance counter at the reception desk. I will ensure that all receptionists interact well with clients and ask them to give their responses about the business services in the customer contact datasheet. The information in the datasheet will help in improving the service delivery on the areas of weakness. Fastnet will require cheap and straightforward customer management systems to handle their complaints, and it includes a website and social media platform. The site will play a key role in responding to customer complaints by posting the remedial actions that will be conducted to handle an issue. The website is also attached to an email that the customer will channel their complaints, concerns, and suggestions to help the business grow. Fastnet will use the Facebook platform to communicate with customers. The customers share their complaints in the form of comments, and the cyber café sales team will collect and review the information to handle the complaints about the benefit of business growth. Fastnet will handle the customer complaints seriously because meeting their needs leads to the success of the organization

Fastnet Cyber Cafe will deal mostly with service delivery and does not require a complex system of management in terms of scheduling, inventory, client records, and accounting. The business in the first year of operation will deal with manageable income and files, and the best way is to minimize the costs of production. I will use my IT knowledge as the business owner to employ the services of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets on my computer, having an auto inventory option that adjusts the business inventory levels after service delivery. Fastnet will also outsource a cash register that comes with an inventory software that helps in tracking inventory items and services and also keeps financial records. The cash system cost is approximately $300, where the accounting issue is sorted by maintaining the records of payments. The business will not need Shopify or any other software since the target group is in a known area, and also the use of social media and website is enough to market the services offered by Fastnet Cyber. The cost of having the Facebook platform customized is $500 and is capable of reaching the students of the two colleges in London city who use more of social media.

Organization

Fastnet will run under my leadership and management, and the web network attendant, software developer, and cyber café attendant play the second role of ensuring the technicians do all the technical activities. The network and computer technicians will be managed by the network attendant and software developer. The software developer, cybercafé attendant, and network attendant will offer services to assist clients in some of the services. The software developer will help the clients with software installation while the network attendant ensures clients that need internet access enjoys the services by assisting them where necessary. Cyber café attendants play the role of offering photocopying and printing services.

Fastnet will operate 12 hours per day from Monday to Saturday, and the total hours in a whole month are 360 hours. The owner of the business will earn a total of $1000 for hours. The part-time employees are paid per hour because their technical work is not required regularly but only during breakdown emergencies and maintenance of both the software and hardware. A computer technician will be needed to ensure that computers, printers, and other machines are working well to promote efficiency in service delivery. The network technician will play the role of checking on the server systems functioning and also install the internet cables when required. The cyber café attendants will ensure all clients are attended to, and their needs are addressed. The receptionists will be in charge of the front office area where they maintain and organize the work station, receive office calls, and gain customers. Fastnet Cyber Café is a sole proprietor business and does not have partners, and one person makes all the decisions. The business owner will develop the employees’ payroll and create invoices. The employees’ salary is fixed for both part-time and full-time employees for the first year then reviewed based on the growth of the company.

Regulation

Fastnet will pay for a business permit of $270 because it will be located along Oxford Street, making the permit charges higher than a business on the outskirts of the London City. Fastnet also is expected to renew the license at the cost of $80 annually. Fastnet will also consider trademarking the business mark to avoid conflict of interest with the future players who tend to use the name. Fastnet will not join any professional organization because it will focus on initiating its operations and understand the business and the market first. Fastnet will register with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) at the cost of $660 annually, and it helps in making information available about the business (International Association of Better Business Bureau, 2020). The business also will consider avoiding unnecessary costs that may interfere with the financial strength of the organization. Fastnet operations will be conducted as proprietorship under the management of the owner that performs the accounting roles due to minimal operations in the first year of service. The manager will conduct the online filing of taxes at the cost of $80 annually in Canada.
