A Synopsis of The Plot of the Scene

The forensic file is an original documentary-style series that was produced in America by Medstar Television and narrated by Peter Thomas (“FilmRise,” 2020). Forensic files majors at creating awareness on the application of forensic science in getting a culprit during the criminal offense, during a viral disease or mysterious occurrence of accidents (Steinberg & Steinberg, 2020). Up to date, the series has successfully broadcasted 406 episodes. The scene selected for this assignment entails season 13, episode 31. Season 13 Episode 31 has been described to be one of the interesting scenes in this documentary. Dubbed as the Hairline, the episode is geared towards the application of hair as an important instrument in unveiling the events that preceded a crime in a scene of a crime. The episode entails the unveiling event that leads to the death of the scientist by the name Erick Miller who worked as a scientific researcher in one of the research tech Firms.

Erick Miller was a 30-year-old man married to Ann Miller. Just like Erick, Ann Miller was also successful in her career, and at the time of the misfortunate events, she was working in a large pharmaceutical firm.  The narrator narrates that during the demise of the victim, Erick and his family were leaving their American dream. They had a beautiful baby, lived a wonderful house, and were faithful church attendees.  Erick fell ill before his demise. The cause of his illness was highly linked to his research work. This is because Erick exhibited signs and symptoms, which indicated flu like illness.  The sign and symptoms of Erick’s illness included vomiting, fever, and headache. The signs of the disease that Erick suffered from clearly made the people surrounding him to think that he had a viral disease or he could be having a bacterial infection.

It was hard for his family and relatives to deduce what was really happening to him. During the night of his hospitalization, his conditions became too severe when he was bowling with friends. During his hospitalization, he was placed into intensive care, and his condition improved tremendously, which led to his discharge. However, a few days later, Erick’s conditions worsen, and he had to be re-hospitalized again. The doctor found a toxicology level in his blood, which were described to be in the lethal level. The lethal poison was known as arsenic. According to the doctor’s, arsenic is a lethal poisonous drug that is used in killing pesticides. It is odorless, tasteless, and could be easily sliced in a person’s drink or food.  Erick’s life shortly came to an end. Therefore, the detectives opted for the use of his hair in order to unveil the mystery of the crime. The lab analysis of the hair was intended to assist the investigators with information that will lead them to understand when the victim experience the first attempt towards his life and probability lead the investigators to the killers.
