Gender role is defined as the human character encompassing a series of attitudes and behaviours that are amicably considered appropriate desirable or else acceptable for people that is based on their sex. Gender roles are centralized under the concept of femininity and masculinity despite variations and exceptions.so specifications of these gendered expectations are seen to vary substantially among cultures. At the same time, other traits may be mutual throughout a series of cultures.

Traditional gender roles have in the living today lost impact in some scene and others not. The discussed scenarios happen to support or criticize the statement based on the lives of men and women today

Culture

It happens that in some cultures it seems to be healthy, not rare to find men having same-sex relationships with the modern lifestyles having no issues with the cases where men show interest on their fellow mates in the establishment of emotions. Majorly on Muslim countries, it is expected that women abide by the rules, for instance, covering their hair. This is highly criticized by women from visiting countries showing that traditional roles on gender happen to have no recognition in the lives of some men and women in contemporary living. With women in the Islam culture assuming similar status to that of a man but a man is having a higher degree above the woman. According to the Qur’an .this gender role honouring being centred mainly on culture, this is different from other cultures that motivate men and women to adopt the same positions.

Media

In today’s society media has penetrated almost to every aspect in one’s life. Seemingly necessary for society to face the influence of the media in whatever it is conveying. Roles are gendered meaning that the male and females are viewed in different takes and receive differentiated treatment that is attributed to by the biological differences, with the gender roles being learned the media has a direct influence on the individuals. The shows presented on television have shown another aspect of the women despising the traditional take that viewed women to be too pretty not aggressive smart or outspoken. This is influencing the adolescent women to take the imitations of the women they see prosperous on the television shows who motivates them to criticize the perception that has been there about the women traditionally. Which seems to despise the ability of the women in the betterment of the society by leaving the responsibility to men only. Many televisions are seen to prioritize on the usage of women in the creation of their advertisements this increasing the relevance of women in today’s society which was not acceptable traditional drafting of the gender roles.

Social interactions

Traditionally there were the imitations of gender roles from the parents where the male children were seen copying the habits and operations of their father with the females observing the characters of their mothers. In the lives today, these situations have been victimized and outdone by the availability of single parents and single parents who happens to be of the different sex. This making the children grow to adopt different roles apart from the ones that the traditional gender upbringing would expect for the children. With such characters being termed to be against the norms, this happens to be foregone due to the presence of heterosexual marriages which provide diversity to the roles of the female and male children imitation.

In case a woman fails to behave or act concerning the female conceptions, she is faced with the intimidation for not working competent enough. When she behaves contrary to the understanding of her gender or other times act more masculine, she is likely faced with bullying or even face job discrimination. And the impact it poses to the modern living showing in most cases that this perception has changed due to improved technology skills education and literacy levels.
